Fashion is an ever changing beast, it never sleeps, it never sits still, it is forward thinking and always built for the future, hence why its seasons are the wrong way round! The fashion world is driven by designers whose job it is to look to the future and identify what people will want to wear in it. So, to be seen as the next big thing in fashion is kind of a big deal, you are a visionary, a trend setter and you know what people want. So for William Tempest, 2010’s ‘hottest’ new designer, the pressure is on!
At just 22 years old Tempest’s designs have already been donned by Victoria Beckham, Emily Watson and… er… the lead singer of The Noisettes. He has also gathered himself a lot of attention from all the big hitters in the fashion press…

Tempest strong point is his attention to detail, his intricate designs are painstakingly pieced together and the results are stunning. With his inspirations coming from the glamorous side of life, (film noir, James Bond and burlesque, to name a few) Tempest’s eclectic style is a feast for the eyes, tweaking the traditional to bring colour and fun to the fore.
Although few of us will be able to afford his designs, Tempest’s take on fashion is refreshingly honest and unpretentious, and we’re sure his collections are influencing the high street already!
