What is Headbox?
Headbox is a co-creation community, which means we bring consumers (like you) and brands together to collaborate, bonuce ideas around and co create. The Headbox community is full of young and enthusiastic The best bit is we incentivise you for everything you do with Headbox!
Who Owns Headbox?
Headbox is owned by Fenix Media Ltd. Fenix Media trades as Face. Face is a marketing company specializing in connecting brands with their consumers. If you ever come to offices for an interview or attend a workshop you will meet the whole team!
What is the purpose of Headbox?
Headbox was formed to help give young consumers a voice. A lot of products that are available on the market are created without consulting the people buy them. We believe that better products are created when consumers are involved every step of the marketing process. Headbox gives you a direct line to the brands that you consume and allows you to influence what they do, and how they do it.
Does Headbox have any age restrictions?
You have to be at least 16 years old to join Headbox!
What are the benefits of becoming a Headbox member?
There are LOADS of benefits to becoming Headbox member, for each project you do you will recieve an incentive, this could be anything from a free exclusive download or gig ticket to £300 in cash. There is also a great chance to gain CV experience as you will be working on live briefs with real brands. Also if you get involved in our co-creation workshops you could get some industry contacts and VIP treatment.

How do I find out about work from Headbox?
Every piece of work we think is suitable for you will be sent to you via your personal email address. You will also receive an internal email through the Headbox site and the opportunity will appear on your project opportunities board.
How do I get work from Headbox?
To put your name in the hat for Headbox work you need to apply for work online. Once you have heard about the project login to your Headbox account, click on the opportunity you would like to take part in, and click submit.
Will I ever recieve spam from Headbox?
Headbox will only ever send you information about work opportunities, competitions and information regarding Headbox. We will never send you any information about products, discounts, deals or any of that other spam malarkey!
What’s does Headbox need my personal details for?
Headbox uses your details to match your information against criteria required for projects. We will never pass your information on to companies or third parties without your explicit permission and this will only be done in relation to Headbox projects.
What are terms and conditions for joining Headbox?

How do I get paid?
As a Headboxer you will never get paid as you are not an employee of Headbox. We do however incentivise you for everything you do. Please see How do I receive my incentives?
How soon after a project finishes do I get rewarded?
It all comes down to how much you are getting rewarded for the project, larger incentives (£100+) can take up to 10 working days to make it into your PayPal account, whereas smaller sums can take a shorter amount of time.
How are Headbox incentives worked out?
We always reward you what we think is fair for the time you spend on the project & the type of work you do. We will always make clear how much of your time & effort will be required to complete a project.
How much do I get incentivised for doing work with Headbox?
Well, it really depends on what kind of work you do! If you take part in a small questionnaire you may get paid £1 for your time or if you participate in a 2 day co-creation workshop you can earn up to £300+
How does the Headbox incentive system work?
When you complete a project with Headbox the incentive for that project will be sent to your PayPal account. It can take up to 10 working days for the money to clear depending on the amount of the incentive.
How do I redeem my incentives?
Your incentives get redeemed automatically after you complete a project, you will get email confirmation from PayPal that the money is being transferred to your account. It can take up to 48 hours for the payment to be initiated.
If I am under 18 how do I recieve my incentives?

What is PayPal?
PayPal is an online money transferring site; it allows users to send other people money safely and securely. PayPal is most commonly used on Ebay when users pay people for goods without personally knowing the person they are buying from.
How do I set up a PayPal account?
If you make your way to www.paypal.com it will take you through how to set up your own brand spanking new PayPal account. It’s really easy so head over to the PayPal site and get started!
What is a Project?
A project is the piece of work you will be working on. A project could just be one thing, i.e. a questionnaire or it could consist of several different tasks i.e. forums, chats & diaries.
How do I Take Part in a Project?
After you have been accepted on a project it will automatically appear in your profile page. To take part, click on the title of the project, this will take you to the project homepage. Everything you need to take part in the project will appear.
How do I Complete a Project?
To complete a project you need to complete all the tasks within that project. Throughout the project you will have a task toolbar which will let you know how much (in %) you have done of the project and how much you still need to do!
How do I get accepted to a project?
After you have applied to take part in a project you should hear back from Headbox within a few days about what is happening next. Depending on what type of project it is you may have to attend a selection day or a telephone interview.
What is my Project Notice Board?
Your project notice board is your first point of call when looking for work with Headbox. It will display all the opportunities available to you at any one time. Your project notice board is located on the bottom right hand side of your profile.
How do I find out About Projects?

How Often Will I Recieve Projects From Headbox?
There is no set limit to how often you will receive projects. We may think you are perfect for 3 projects in a short space of time, or you may not hear from us at all for a period of time. It all depends on the projects we have available.
What is a Task?
Each project you take part in will consist of tasks, to successfully complete a project you will need to complete all the tasks assigned to it. You will be able to see all the tasks you need to do by clicking on the My Tasks button on your Toolbar.
Where are my Tasks?
All the tasks are located on your task overview page. To get to your task overview page you need to click on projects on your left hand toolbar, click on the title of the project you wish to participate in, click on my tasks.
How do I Participate in a Task?
There are lots of different types of task so there will always be different ways to complete them. To find out what you need to do for a task head over to the task overview page and read the details for each task.
What is Co Creation?
Co creation is the act of consumers (you) collaborating directly with brands. Co creation can take place on-line in communities or offline in workshops. The aim of co-creation is to develop ideas together with brands to creation better design, ideas and products for everybody!.
What is a Co-Creation Project?
You will be working directly with a major brand on a live brief, helping them create the next big thing. Co-creation workshop projects can last anywhere between 2 days and four weeks and can be on and offline.
What Tasks Take Place Within Co-Creation?
Creating and designing a new product, creating a new product variant, working on marketing strategy, developing insights and improving brand communication.
What is an Online Focus Group?
An online focus group is a lot like a chat group; much like chat, it takes place in real time and you can chat to other members of your project teams and project admin.
How do I Take Part in an Online Focus Group?
To take part you will need to check the time and date that the focus group starts on your task overview page. When the time comes to take part, click on the focus group button on the left hand toolbar within your profile.
What is an Online Survey/Questionnaire?
An online survey / questionnaire is a set of questions that give us an idea of what you do / don’t like about certain things and also what you get up to in your life. You will always be paid to take part in surveys/questionnaires.
How do I Take Part in an Online Survey/Questionnaire?
To get involved, click on the title of the questionnaire on your project notice board. The opportunity will expand and you will be given 3 options, questionnaire / reject / close. To begin the questionnaire click on the questionnaire link.
What Happens When I do a Questionnaire/Survey?
When you do a questionnaire other Headboxers are doing it at the same time. When we have everybody’s answers we compile and analyse the results, which will then be given to the company who commissioned the questionnaire.
What is an Online/Offline Collaboration Community?
A collaboration community consists of Headboxers working with a company for a period of time. This could include doing forums, chats and diary tasks online and maybe even meeting the brand to discuss ideas, initiatives and your thoughts.
What is Immersion?
Immersion involves a member or members of a brand coming to visit you! It might be for a couple of hours or for a whole day, it is a brands chance to find out what happens in your world and your chance to show them what you get up to.
What is Consumer Hijack?
This is your chance to have your say about anything and everything to do with a brand. You will get to see the brands plans and have your say, whether it is helping them with their marketing plan or getting the first peek at ads.
What is a Seeding Project?
Seeding is simply you telling your friends about the products and brands you like. This can be done in several different ways, through email, social networking sites or even text from your mobile. (We pay the bill).
What is my Profile?
Your profile is your main point of interaction with Headbox. Whenever you log onto Headbox you will be taken to this page. It contains your current projects page, your Headbox email and your project notice board
Who can see my Headbox Profile?
Nobody except Headbox admin can see your Headbox profile.
How do I Create my Profile?
Your profile is automatically created for you when you sign up for Headbox your profile will be automatically created for you. All the questions in the joining questionnaire allow us to match you up with suitable Headbox projects.
How do I Edit my Profile?
You can only edit certain parts of your profile, these include: Your Picture, Your Login Name and your contact email address. To edit these details click on the edit button underneath your picture on the profile page.
What is the Task Toolbar?
The Task Toolbar will pop-up as soon as you enter any project. Your Task Toolbar consists of 6 different buttons, each button will take you to a different task option
What is a Forum Task?
A forum task is a message board where you, and other members of your project team, can post your thoughts, feelings and opinions on certain subjects relating to the project.
How do I Participate in a Forum Task?
A forum task is a message board where you, and other members of your project team, can post your thoughts, feelings and opinions on certain subjects relating to the project.
What is a Diary Task?
These are for you to give your opinion directly to Headbox. Only Headbox admin will be able to see your diary posts, so it’s your chance to be as honest as you can! You may be asked to create a video diary; this will mean making a video via your webcam.
How do I Participate in a Diary Task?
To add a new diary entry click on the new entry button, a text box will pop up onto your screen and you will be able to scribble down your diary post. When you have finished typing your post click the submit button and your post will appear on the page.
What is a Chat Group Task?
A chat group task involves you talking with other members of your project team, and maybe admin, in real time. It is a chance for you to share your opinion and ideas with your peers and get an instant response.
What is the Task Overview Page?
The task overview page is the place where you will find all the tasks you need complete to finish a project. To get to the task overview page, enter a project and click on the My Tasks button.
How do I make a Video Diary?
In the text box pop up type a little bit about the video you are going to be making and click submit. If your webcam is connected correctly your webcam viewpoint should appear inside the Polaroid. Click on record and have your say!
