Want to host an iconic London summer party like no other? Then welcome to the Serpentine Pavilion at the Serpentine Galleries.
Each summer the Serpentine Galleries London invites an internationally known architect to create their first built structure in England. The immediacy of the process, a maximum of six months from invitation to completion, provides a unique summer party venue in London that would be perfect for your next event. Since the Serpentine Pavilion's launch in 2000, the annual Pavilion has become one of the most anticipated events in the global cultural calendar and a leading visitor attraction during London’s summer season of culture. Serpentine Artistic Director Hans Ulrich Obrist and CEO Yana Peel select the architect with advisors David Adjaye and Richard Rogers.
The Serpentine Pavilion can be hired for private events alongside the Serpentine Gallery between June and October for a maximum of 500 guests standing.
We have a selection of exceptional caterers for you to choose from so you can make sure you have a menu and cost that suits your event.
What is the wet weather plan?
The Serpentine Pavilion always has a waterproof element meaning there will be some shelter against unfortunate weather. The Serpentine Gallery is hired alongside the Pavilion and acts as an alternative wet weather plan too.
Can we have tours of the exhibition alongside the reception?
Yes, your event can be based outside in the Serpentine Pavilion whilst tours of the exhibition in the gallery run alongside it.
Is there power in the Pavilion?
Yes, the Serpentine Pavilion always features a bar, house lighting and power for any AV that needs to be brought in.
How does the catering work?
Caterers can access the kitchen facilities back of house at the Gallery from 16:00, meaning that they're ready to serve your guests on arrival from 18:30. Catering can be chosen from the Serpentine Galleries approved list of suppliers, meaning you have the opportunity to select the menu, service and price that works for you.
