The Council Chamber at Battersea Arts Centre is a stunning event venue to hire in Battersea.

Filled with history and creative flair, the venue is an ideal venue that offers something a little different.

The Council Chamber at the front of the building, accessed via our opulent marble staircase, is a timeless event Space. Light, spacious and versatile.

Whilst the Grand Hall, restored after a devastating fire in 2015, boasts a private entrance, stunning lattice ceiling and mosaic-domed entrance hall.

The venue offers a personal approach when it comes to planning your event. The experienced team are on hand to help manage your day from start to finish.

The in-house caterers pride themselves on creating lovingly prepared menus to fit with the vision and feel of your event.

Our experienced in-house catering team have designed, produced and served at a huge host of events in many spaces across our beautiful building. We pride ourselves on providing a personable yet professional service with flexibility to allow for a range of menus and set ups. Led by Head Chef Nigel James, we utilise our local supply chain to create market-fresh and seasonal menus with quality, homemade food at its heart.

We also work with a team of passionate preferred suppliers who cater to all corners of the events market and we would be delighted ot make an introduction should you wish to explore this route.

We have a range of fixed bars throughout our building, but also the flexibility to produce pop-up bars in locations to suit your unique event. We have a dedicated bar team who will work with your event manager to ensure the bar offer suits your event and your guests.

Our range of drinks focuses on locally brewed craft ales, quirky spirits, and a small-scale wine growers as well as botanically brewed soft drinks and seasonal specials.


What are the standard opening hours?

The building is open from Monday - Saturday from 9.30am until 11pm. We can facilitate longer opening hours and Sundays for additional cost.

What additional costs are there?

The Venue Hire fee covers use of the Council Chamber, Members' Library and Corridors for 12 hours. Staffing and technical/equipment costs are all on top and quotes are provided bespoke for each event.

Can I leave items behind to collect the next day?

Yes providing the building is open and you have arranged a pick up time with your event manager. Please bear in mind that
storage is limited and timing would be dependent on the next day’s activities.

Is furniture provided?

Yes we can provide our house style round or long trestle tables and folding chairs. We have an approved suppliers list if you wanted more premium furniture to be hired in at an additional cost or direct from our suppliers.
