Catering

The Big Chill House kitchen team have created a delicious party menu for you to choose from, these menus are available on
request. Vegetarian vegan and gluten-free options are available and all allergen information is available.

All food is served at the request of the guest and by our waiting staff.

We offer both canapé or buffet style.

We have an extensive drinks menu available including craft beers and cocktails, quality wines and spirits. We also have an excellent team of mixologists on hand to advise on bespoke requirements.

The food and drink choices and number of guests must be finalialised a minimum of 14 days prior to your booking.

CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD?
We are happy for you to bring along a celebration cake however all other substantial food must be supplied by our kitchen.

I WANT TO PICK MY OWN MENU, IS THIS POSSIBLE?
Yes, we are very flexible, let us know your budget, number of guests and the type of food you are after and we’ll give you a choice of menus to meet your requirements.

WILL FOOD I PURCHASE CONTRIBUTE
TOWARDS MY MINIMUM SPEND?
Absolutely, everything you purchase, food and drink contributes towards your minimum spend, this also includes all pre-orders.

CAN I ORDER FOOD FROM YOUR MENU
ON THE DAY?
Unfortunately no, all food orders need to be finalised a minimum of 14 days prior to the event.

IF I CHOOSE TO CATER FOR MY PARTY
HOW DOES THE FOOD GET DELIVERED?
However you choose it to be. Our team of waiting staff are flexible you can choose to have guests served via trays of food or buffet style platters; we will also work with you on timing.

THIS POSSIBLE AT ALL?
Yes, we have an expert team of mixologists on hand to advise on drink selections or create a unique tipple from scratch. All drink requests must be finalised a mimimum of 14 days prior to the event.

DECORATION

CAN I DECORATE THE ROOM?
Yes, as long as the paintwork, surfaces and furnishing are not damaged by decorations or fixings, we encourage you to get creative.

CAN WE ACCESS THE VENUE
EARLIER TO PREPARE THE ROOMS
WITH OUR OWN DECORATIONS?
Yes, as long as this has been confirmed and a time arranged with the venue prior to the event.

GENERAL

WILL BIG CHILL HOUSE SUPPLY STAFF?
Yes, we will supply bar staff, waiting staff, chefs, floor staff and security at no extra cost.

CAN BIG CHILL HOUSE RECOMMEND
A DJ?
Of course, our little black book of DJs is bursting, you let us know your musical needs and we’ll find a match. Please note that DJs are an additional cost.

CAN I INVITE UNDER 18 YEAR OLDS
TO MY PARTY?
Under 18s are welcomed into the venue up until 6pm. After 6pm Sunday—Thursday the venue operates a strict over 18s policy and on Fridays and Saturdays over 21s.

COST & PAYMENTS

WHAT IS THE HIRE COST FOR THE
ROOMS AT BIG CHILL HOUSE?
There is no hire fee we work on a minimum spend basis. Minimum spend varies from room to room and day of the week.

WHAT IS A MINIMUM SPEND?
We ask that you spend the minimum amount agreed within the specific bar area you hire. In order to reach your minimum spend food and drink must be purchased within your hire area (all pre-ordered food and drink also contributes). Once your party/event has finished we check the tills on your specific bar to see if the spend has been reached. If yes then nothing is owed however if there is any outstanding balance the difference needs
to be settled before you leave the venue.

IS SERVICE CHARGE INCLUDED WITHIN
THE MINIMUM SPEND?
Yes.

WHAT IF WE DON’T REACH THE MINIMUM SPEND BY THE END OF THE EVENING?
The client is responsible for reaching the agreed minimum spend amount. In cases where the agreed minimum spend is not reached, the client will be liable to pay the outstanding balance between actual spend and agreed minimum spend.
