Entering the space from Brunswick's Sydney Road, Little Mess is the quirky designed venue, that flows into three areas. Hanging above is an array of foliage, fairy lights and little creatures within their main bar, with cocktail furniture. The main bar goes into a beer garden and courtyard, that's fully covered. Little Mess has creeping greenery covering the walls, festoon lighting and quirky decorative touches. Lastly, their Upstairs area works as a quiet space for guests to chat, or can be utilised as an interactive space where photobooths and games are often set up.

Combining their Garden Bar, Deck and Container Bar is their Beer Garden! The Beer Garden is available for larger groups. It can accommodate up to 280 guests.

The Beer Garden provides different nooks, offering a variety to the space; The Deck is off to the side for the chatters. The Container Bar & Garden Bar is nice and close to the bar and food area for the hungry tummies. Trees, greenery and bushes line the space with the zig-zag bench seating in the middle offering a fun playground twist, while festoon lighting. 2 TV screens, a private entrance and a private bar provide the exclusivity for your next function, whilst still having the hustle and bustle from the main venue.

Five stunning spaces are available for hire. The entire venue can also be hired exclusively for bigger events.

The Deck, located to the side of the venue provides an intimate feel to the space without losing the vibe of the venue. The Deck is a semi-private space that includes a retractable awning roof for coverage and heaters to keep you toasty warm in winter. The space can accommodate up to 65 guests. Through the doors, you are able to walk through to the main bar, making it easy for your guests to retrieve drinks. 

Have a smaller group? No problem, the space can be split in two, offering a smaller space for more intimate groups.

What was previously a car showroom many moons ago is now transformed to the iconic The Showroom. This rustic modern space is located at the front of venue at Welcome to Thornbury.

The Showroom is a warm inviting space, the brown leather lounges, copper bar and black steel and of course, their bioethanol fireplace provides all the theming you need. It can accommodate up to 300 guests.

A self-contained space, the Showroom has a private entry off High Street, a private bar and it’s own bathrooms. Also included within the space is a raised stage for any speeches, live entertainment or just to have a boogie on, as well as two TV screens, PA system and microphone. 
Interchangeable furniture and sliding floor to ceiling glass doors, allows for a progressive function such as cocktail making classes, paint and sip or talk and taste, then moving into a space for drinks and nibbles, perfect for company team bonding, hen’s and buck’s parties or Christmas parties.

The Showroom can also be split into two creating two private spaces for small affairs, both with its own private entrance, separate bathrooms and private bar.

The Courtyard is a semi-private space located in the heart of their fabulous outdoor beer garden. The Courtyard entails a mixture of cocktail-style tables, stools and benches seating with greenery flowing, allowing for casual chatter.  There is overhead heating to also cater for Melbourne’s ever-changing weather for guests to relax into the afternoon or evening. This area can accommodate up to 50 guests.

Welcome to Thornbury is hard to miss with its retro sign welcoming guests to their next function. This lovely venue offers a progressive, festival vibe to any function held with us due to the diverse offerings. The entire venue can accommodate up to 1500 guests.

Upon entry there is the Distiller, a fully-functional distillery, known for Grainshaker Vodka and Ned’s whiskey.

Towards the back of the venue is their beautiful warehouse space ‘The Greenhouse’ – greenery hangs above with polished concrete floors, festoon lighting and wooden finishings. Their Good Times Arcade is the perfect place for the big kids with over 40 retro arcade games. Lastly is their main bar & beer garden with two bars and cover throughout to cater to Melbourne’s ever changing weather!

Step through the huge barn doors and into a completely different world of Welcome to Thornbury. 

The Greenhouse is a a mix of modern Melbourne warehouses, and the soft timber features of a traditional space. Hanging greenery, festoon lighting and timber features with spots for tea light candles adapts to a bright airy space, or a moody intimate feel to suit any occasion. The moveable walls within the Greenhouse assist with adapting to suit your guest numbers and set up requirements. This space can accommodate up to 500 guests.

Completing the package, the Greenhouse offers a private bar, bathrooms and an in-house AV system, which can be used for a playlist, DJ, or even an acoustic band to really get the dance floor going!
