The shared long table experience at Grand Brasserie offers the best of both worlds: your group of up to 45 enjoys dedicated seating at a harvest-style table within the Main Dining Room, while immersed in the restaurant’s lively service and energy. This non-private option is popular for team dinners, casual client hosting, or large group celebrations where ambiance matters as much as the meal. Guests dine from seasonal prix-fixe menus served family-style, designed to encourage sharing and conversation. Because the space remains open, there is no room-hire fee, and minimum spend requirements are focused on food and beverage alone. Beverages can be ordered individually or pre-arranged as part of a host tab. Our team can assist with dietary requests, menu cards, and light custom touches to make the evening feel special without overcomplication.

When your group size doesn’t warrant the full Green Room but privacy is still important, a semi-private hire delivers. Suitable for around 20 standing, these bookings typically include half the room or a defined alcove section. Curtains or stanchions create a distinct zone while maintaining visual connection to the room’s overall design. This layout is great for board dinners, mixers, or VIP client evenings where exclusivity is appreciated but full room rental isn’t needed. Food and beverage minimums are lower, and menu options mirror our full-service private dining selections. The space allows for small AV setups, welcome drinks, and dedicated service, with our team on hand to customize layout and pacing to suit your group.

Green Room Bar Sectioned Standing Area

For groups that don’t require the entire Main Dining Room but still want an impressive setting, our semi-private sections provide a perfect balance. Typically accommodating up to 50 standing guests, these spaces are defined by discreet curtaining or roping, preserving the vibrant atmosphere while carving out an intimate zone. Popular for corporate dinners, networking receptions, or milestone birthdays, these sections give your guests the grandeur of Vanderbilt Hall without the scale (or price point) of a full buy-out. Menus draw from the same seasonal family-style offerings, with optional add-ons like passed canapés or themed cocktails. Your group can access tailored AV or music options, and our planning team will help arrange table layouts, place cards, and any presentation support.

Main Dining Room Sectioned Standing Area

The Green Room offers an entirely private space within Grand Brasserie, with its deep green millwork, art-deco lighting, and cozy speakeasy vibe. Available for up to 80 seated or 120 standing, the Green Room is ideal for cocktail receptions, press junkets, private dinners, or smaller-scale celebrations wanting a moodier, enclosed setting. Exclusive hire includes full control of lighting, music, and pacing, with a private bar and flexible floor plans that can include banquettes, rounds, or high-tops. Menus span family-style seated meals to interactive chef stations and passed hors d’oeuvres, with beverage service tailored as open bar, tabbed, or consumption-based. AV capability allows for speeches, toasts, or background playlists, and restroom access is managed to preserve privacy. When hired exclusively, it offers seated dining for up to 250 guests or standing receptions for 450. This space is ideal for corporate dinners, wedding banquets, large-scale networking evenings, and fundraising galas. Towering arched windows, warm lighting, and art-deco details create an unforgettable setting, while its open plan allows for a variety of configurations—long banquet tables, mixed rounds, or food stations. Exclusive hire ensures your group enjoys full control over music, lighting, and flow, with dedicated entrances and roped privacy as needed. The menu focuses on seasonal, family-style service with options for bespoke courses, chef stations, or themed cocktails. Beverage service can be structured as open bar, host-tabbed, or by individual order. AV capability, presentation support, and custom branding can be added to enhance your event experience. Minimum spend levels reflect the premium nature of the space and will vary based on date, time, and service style.

Main Dining Room Buyout

The Green Room is Grand Brasserie's private space that is located at the back of the dining room of the restaurant and it is the perfect space for a celebration, networking event or seated dinner. This space can privately seat up to 80 or host a standing cocktail reception with passed and staionary food for up to 120 people. The space is equipped with a screen and projector and has A/V capabilities. The beautiful bar can also host a non-private group of up to 25 people. Grand Brasserie is conveniently located in Grand Central.s Vanderbilt Hall and convenient to NYC subway, bus, and taxis, Long Island Railroad and Metro-North Railroad.

Green Room

Grand Brasserie offers one of New York’s most impressive event backdrops: the entirety of Vanderbilt Hall, exclusively yours. This full venue hire gives your group access to the Main Dining Room, Green Room, central bar, and all surrounding spaces, with combined standing capacity of approximately 570 guests and seated dining for up to 330 across flexible configurations.
