Tucked alongside Felix Restaurant in Sydney's Ash Street, you’ll find Little Felix – a French-style cocktail bar with a moody interior and bartenders who know exactly how you like your drink.

Drink champagne and wine poured from magnum bottles, and cocktails inspired by early 20th-century Parisian hotels – such as the ‘Paris Meridian’ and the ‘Raconteur’ – as you catch up over cheese, charcuterie and truffle tartines.

Sitting atop ivy is uccello. This Italian restaurant provides a poolside oasis in the Sydney CBD.

The recently refreshed uccello takes its cues from the Italian coastline. Chef Nigel Ward’s menu makes the most of the restaurant’s wood-fired oven and charcoal barbecue and is inspired by the traditional recipes and techniques he picked up on his travels throughout regional Italy.

At the heart of Ward’s cooking is an appreciation of provenance and a commitment to extracting every drop of flavour out of an ingredient. He works closely with small-scale NSW farmers and producers and delivers a restrained and humble menu, where the product is the hero of the dish.

And, of course, there is a drinks list to match the relaxed, poolside vibe. Classic cocktails are given an Italian edge with provincial ingredients and produce. The Italian-leaning wine list has everything from light and fresh catarratto and grillo to the finest brunello and barolo, and a great list of Provence rosé. There is also a line-up of exciting local producers and iconic Australian wines.
