Inspired by the striking architecture of Melbourne’s Collins Place, designed by I.M. Pei and opened in 1981, the narrative of Dame is centered around a fictitious ‘80s muse; a powerful, well-connected, and rather fabulous woman. Dramatic sheer curtains theatrically distinguish Dame from the adjoining lobby as a bespoke portrait of Dame herself overlooks the blush-toned marble bar. Dame is positioned to become the new meeting place of the 'Paris-end' of town, introducing new people to the iconic space, and bringing a fresh level of sophistication to the city that lives for its cafes. A fitting all-day dining venue that the Collins Place entry waited more than forty years for - Dame was developed for Collins Place, but it's as if Dame was always intended to be there. The entire venue can accommodate up to 200 guests in a cocktail-style setting.
