Once used for storing boutique wines, this elegant space has been thoughtfully transformed into a luxurious private dining area. Ideal for confidential board meetings, working lunches, intimate receptions, or private dinners, The Cellar offers a discreet and refined setting steeped in history. Guests can also opt for self-service to maintain privacy, dining in a room once reserved for Members of Parliament and Brisbane’s most prominent political figures.

Built in the 19th century, it serves as the seat of the Queensland Parliament and features elegant colonial architecture, manicured gardens, and historic interiors. The venue offers a dignified setting for official events, educational tours, and receptions, showcasing the state's rich political and architectural history.

Named after the Queensland Government’s paddle-steamer, the Lucinda Bar reflects the legacy of the vessel, which played a vital role in servicing lighthouses, delivering mail, and transporting ministers until its retirement in 1923.

In 1891, Lucinda became a key player in shaping Australia’s future. Queensland Premier Sir Samuel Griffith, along with fellow leaders, sailed aboard the steamer to Refuge Bay, where they met over Easter to draft important sections of the Australian Constitution.

Steeped in history and character, the Lucinda Bar, which retains many of its original features, such as the parquet floors, ornate plasterwork and coffered ceiling is an ideal location for networking events, or intimate cocktail receptions.

As a bonus, a small balustraded terrace offers a view across the Brisbane River to the West of Brisbane.
