State Library Victoria Theatrette has fixed raked seating capacity for 200 and features fully integrated multimedia equipment, all with remote panel control. Lecture tablets are fitted to all seats. Two rows are also fitted with power outlets to enable easy use of personal technology. Disability access is paramount with 4 wheelchair spaces, an audio loop and wheel chair access to the stage. The Theatrette is one of few purpose built theatre settings available for event use in Melbourne’s CBD. Used to great effect in conjunction with the adjacent seminar rooms or when used amongst the various other library spaces for breakout requirements and social programs.
