Perched on the fifth floor of Trainscendence, the Trainscendental Lounge offers a rooftop experience unlike any other. Set inside a decommissioned Hitachi-style train carriage suspended above the city, this extraordinary space provides sweeping views of the Melbourne skyline and a vibrant, creative atmosphere. Inside, vintage charm meets modern flair with antique lounges, colorful decor, and quirky details throughout. Guests can curate their own vibe using the in-carriage jukebox and enjoy the fully equipped bar. For larger gatherings or immersive experiences, both rooftop train carriages can be hired together, transforming the entire rooftop platform into a private haven for connection, celebration, or creativity. From sunrise to sunset, the Trainscendental Lounge promises a truly memorable escape.

A standout feature is the railway crossing stage, ideal for impactful presentations or performances, while two plush couches provide a comfortable breakout area for relaxed conversations. With a private bathroom and a flexible layout, Platform Infinity is well-suited for presentations, panel discussions, exhibitions, showcases, networking events, small performances, and pop-up experiences.

Located on the second floor, the carpeted room features a dreamy, cloud-covered ceiling and north-facing windows that provide abundant natural light. It is equipped with a built-in projector, screen, heating, cooling, and customizable lighting options, while a shelf stocked with cushions and yoga mats adds comfort and flexibility for a wide range of activities.

Trainscendence’s premier event space offers a truly unique and unforgettable setting, featuring two authentic Hitachi train carriages perched atop an iconic Collingwood building, connected by a rooftop deck. Complemented by an additional terrace with sweeping views across Melbourne’s north-east, the venue combines novelty with function. 

Each carriage is integrated into the modern structure and includes direct elevator access, bathrooms, and audiovisual facilities. One carriage is styled as a bar and lounge, while the other is equipped with a stage for performances, DJs, or curated playlists. With multiple rooftop areas to explore, the space creates a dynamic flow that ensures guests enjoy a memorable experience long after the event.

Step straight out of the elevator and into the Love Train, a vibrant neon-pink-lined train carriage perched in the sky. With warm wooden walls, a stage that doubles as a bookshelf, and an authentic train-style bathroom.

The Love Train is perfect for casual or professional events. It's the perfect party space but also suits presentations or networking events. 

Inside, it comfortably fits up to 50 standing guests, while the spacious outdoor deck welcomes 25 more, perfect for soaking up golden hour city views or a sunset gathering under the stars.

Green tones, mid-century furnishings, and sparkling fairy lights create an inviting atmosphere, while a quirky running water fountain adds a touch of playful serenity.

This room has a well-equipped kitchenette, making it ideal for bringing your own snacks and drinks. Step out onto the balcony and you’ll be greeted with one of the best views in Melbourne, and even a jacuzzi!

The Magic School Bus is a bohemian-inspired space at Trainscendence that invites guests into a world of creativity and imagination. Designed in the shape of a bus, the room features a flowing fabric ceiling, rich textures, and whimsical details that spark curiosity and wonder. 

Guests can settle into authentic bus seats, gather around eclectic tables and desks, or explore the room’s hidden surprises, including a small lockable corner room, a chalkboard wall-lined interior ideal for brainstorming sessions, and a secret crawl-in room tucked away at the rear for the adventurous. A private balcony adds to the charm, offering a quiet escape and fresh air between moments of inspiration.

The Space Craft (also known as the Craft Space) is a bright and welcoming room designed for creative activities and hands-on fun. It comes fully equipped with arts and crafts supplies, games, puzzles, plush toys, and a sewing machine. The room features multiple tables for working, including a long communal crafting table ideal for group activities.

There’s a kitchenette for light food preparation and a spacious balcony with city views, offering a great spot to relax or supervise from outdoors. Cosy corners with soft seating make it easy for kids to wind down or focus quietly.

This space is ideal for children’s birthday parties, school holiday programs, creative workshops, or as a supervised kids’ area during adult events in other parts of the venue.

Propeller is a functional, light-filled office space designed for meetings, workshops, conferences, and co-working. It features long white tables, ergonomic chairs, and a projector with screen, providing everything you need for a productive session. We have been delighted with how much work we always get done in this space, ever since we set it up.

Suitable for a variety of professional uses, the room is ready for group discussions, presentations, and collaborative work. It would be great for networking events, co-working or creative community meetups.
