Melbourne Polytechnic Conference Centre is located at Preston, which is just 9KM north of the Melbourne CBD, and a 20-minute drive from Melbourne International Airport. The conference centre can accommodate conferences, meetings or events for up to 200 people. The centre has seven meeting and syndicate rooms of varying seating capacity to suit your needs. Melbourne Polytechnic offer a reception area with a large LCD screen, spacious foyers on both floors (these work well as registration and waiting areas) and on-site parking. The Ellen Smiddy Room is mainly utilized as a catering space as it has direct access to the kitchen but can be used for trade shows, training, conferences or social events. The Ellen Smiddy Room is located on the ground floor with direct bathroom access and has a dedicated bar area. The Ellen Smiddy Room can accommodate from 80 guests seated to 200 guests standing. During the warmer months, there are large bi-fold doors that can be opened to access the outdoor courtyard that also offers great natural light all year around.
