1. Main Bar, Temperance Hotel
South Yarra
Set in a two-storey heritage building on Chapel Street, Temperance Hotel offers a semi-private space that balances historical charm with Melbourne’s contemporary pub scene. Arched windows and classic exterior details reflect the venue’s character, while inside, the atmosphere is unmistakably modern. The Main Bar includes high-top tables, a large screen for presentations or slideshows, and partial access to the main bar itself. Overlooking Chapel Street, the space comfortably accommodates up to 100 guests standing, or 200 when extended into the adjacent Booth Bar. On weekends, a DJ fills the room, and guests are free to step onto the dance floor and join the larger crowd.
