Difficult times, emptier calendars
The story begins back in June 2020, when the UK’s economy was crippled by the Covid lockdown and restrictions were having a devastating impact on the meetings and events industry. The Chapel Bar, like many venues in London and the rest of the UK, was struggling to fill quiet periods in their calendar due to the restrictions in place.
There is only so much a venue can do by sending promotions to their existing audiences. The Events team at The Chapel Bar was not going to wait around for new bookings. Leaning into the challenge, they joined the Lead Feed.
There are always bookers out there
When inbound enquiries dry up, venues need to get creative and test a new strategy. The Lead Feed was born to solve the empty space problem, helping venues to proactively source new bookings rather than waiting for inbound enquiries.
Using the platform gave The Chapel Bar access to all new event enquiries received by HeadBox that matched their venue. And the team certainly understood the assignment - they logged in almost every day and responded to an impressive 96% of relevant event enquiries.
Raising the bar by 5k every month
With access to a new audience of bookers, and a stylish and flexible venue that will allow bookers to create their own menus and layouts, it should come as no surprise that The Chapel Bar was a smash with HeadBox bookers.
The Chapel Bar made it through those difficult times brought about by the pandemic, and their success story doesn’t end there. The team has continued to see new bookings from the Lead Feed in the years since.
From small bookings to private hires, The Chapel Bar used the Lead Feed to scoop up an average of £5,000 in extra event bookings each month. Their PB so far? A whopping £10,600 in one month! Now that’s what we call return on investment.
"Coming out of the UK lockdown was a difficult time for us, like so many venues. Without inbound enquiries we were lost. The Lead Feed helped us to find the people out there who were still planning events. It was a lifesaver for us and we still use it every day. It changes the game for venues."
