The Parker Morris Hall is named after Sir Parker Morris, a Westminster City Council clerk who really cared about helping underprivileged people lead more dignified lives. Involved with The Abbey Centre, he also co-founded HACT, the housing action charity, arguing for improved standards and space in council homes. The venue is in the heart of one of the most iconic areas of London, close to landmarks such as Big Ben and Westminster Abbey. It is close to Westminster station and St James’s Park station, making it convenient for all your guests to reach. 

The Parker Morris Hall is a London venue hire that is perfect for your AGM, conference, large meeting, lecture and training sessions, with room for up to 180 delegates. This flexible space has high ceilings and a stage that is suitable for presentations or for using as a small conference venue. There is also in-house catering and break-out rooms available. The Hill room is a bargain for meetings for 2-8 people. Located on the third floor, this discreet room is ideal for interviews, appraisals, counselling,  casework, training or therapy sessions.

This room is named after Octavia Hill, a pioneer of female activism who worked in regeneration, particularly fair housing. She was concerned with the rights (and responsibilities) of people in deprived communities.

Hire the Hill Room to support vital activities at The Abbey Centre such as the GLAD social club for adults with disabilities.

Hill Room

If you’re looking to rent a meeting room in London, the Ashely-Cooper Room at the Abbey Centre London is a practical and affordable venue. 

This Space is a low-cost basement room for no-frills meetings.

The Ashley Cooper room is located in the basement of the building, with doors opening onto the Abbey Centre's courtyard garden. From late Spring to early Autumn, you can throw open the doors and enjoy the fresh air. There's room to accommodate up to 40 delegates, and the room's ultra-low price makes it a smart choice for no-frills meetings, or training days.

The Space is named after Anthony Ashley Cooper (later the 7th Earl of Shaftsbury), who was the head of Ragged Schools for decades. He fought against child labour in factories and mines and for improved treatment for people with mental health problems.

Ashley-Cooper Room

**This is one of the most popular rooms at te Abbey Centre, with beautiful arched windows overlooking the red-brick buildings of Great Smith Street.** 

The first-floor Garrett Anderson room is generously proportioned and suits up to 35 delegates. There's an overhead projector and whiteboard, plus colourful limited-edition collagraphs by Mark Spain.

Named after Elizabeth Garrett Anderson, England's first female doctor. She championed healthcare for women and children, opening St Mary's dispensary in Marylebone, Westminster. She also taught medical courses to other women, so the practice could expand.
