What’s the capacity of The Hall and Gillyflower?
Our capacity in both The Hall and The Gillyflower is 200. Both work very well at lesser numbers and if you don’t eat in The Gillyflower the numbers can be higher.. And in fact the Gillyflower can do more than 200 seated.... Again whether you’re a small event or much bigger we have ways and means to make it work without feeling cramped or atmosphere-less.
Can we bring our own caterers?
We do have our own kitchens and always prefer it if you use our catering set up. However we don’t demand it. If you want to bring your own catering there are certain criteria that need to be met and if they can be met then you can. Our reputation can be damaged very easily by food that isn’t up to a certain standard and so we are very protective of that.
What is the total sleeping capacity of Elmore?
We can sleep up to 20 people in actual beds and have 4 additional camp beds. So 24… But then people can camp. See below!
Can we put up our own tents? Can you provide Glamping?
We don’t allow people to set up their own tents as the camping field is in view of the Gillyflower. We don’t want it looking like the camping field at Glastonbury! But we do like the Teepee field. So we can organise posh camping and the rule about bringing your own tent can be broken if you’re bringing your own snazzy tent.. Just get in touch if you’re interested to find out more.
Can we have amplified music in the house at night?
We can’t have amplified music in the main house. The Gillyflower is sound proofed so we can have loads of fun in there.. But the house is a no go zone. The reason is that people living locally are likely to be disturbed and then of course there’s those staying who might be trying to get some sleep. But again just speak to us, as nothing is hard and fast. Apart from gabba and that is definitely not allowed.
Can you hire in certain beers, wines or spirits for us?
Yes we’re very flexible about what is served so we can make a plan for you. Just ask.. If you bring in wine and champagne then we charge corkage as we need to cover the cost of serving it all and of course the supply and washing of all the glasses.
Will you DJ for us?
Ha! Well yes if the price is right…. ;-)
Do you have disabled facilities?
Absolutely yes… The ground floor of the house is disabled friendly and The Gillyflower is too. Sadly however, due to the listed nature of the building, we don’t have disabled access to the bedrooms.
Are there any bedrooms on the ground floor?
There are no bedrooms on the ground floor. Sorry...
*Can I bring in my own decorations and do you allow candles at Elmore? *
Yes, we love to see all of the different styles and decorations. Candles work especially well in the Gillyflower reflecting back the lovely light from the light shower. All we ask is that the candles are in a safe container and not likely to drip wax or start a fire.
