Ideal for meetings, conferences, dinners and events, this beautiful riverside room on the first floor tells its own stories through the many textures of its exposed brick walls, naked timber ceiling and restored original sash windows overlooking the Thames. These features are complemented by polished modern finishes, including a beautiful new timber floor and a flexible track and spot lighting system.

Beanfeast can be accessed via lift or stairs and also benefits from a private external entrance on the riverfront for guests arriving by boat. It's easily reached from the Knight Gallery - a similar space on the floor below - and from Stonecutters Studio, making it perfect for multi-room conferences and events.

Beanfeast takes its unusual name from a national holiday proclaimed by King George during his 1773 visit to the site.

At 11.4m x 8.6m, the Coopers Studio isn't exactly small, but it is our smallest space.

With windows overlooking the wide pedestrian boulevard that runs through the Royal Arsenal estate and a high, vaulted ceiling supported by original timber roof trusses, the space feels light and airy. To the western side there's an internal window (with blind) overlooking the Fireworks Factory main space, making it also suitable as a support space for larger events.

The space is lit by prismatic glass factory lights, with technical power and facilities panels at either end. A PA system suitable for playback and light speech use is permanently installed in the room, which also includes an upright acoustic piano.

The Coopers Studio is accessed via lift or stairs leading directly from the main entrance foyer, and there's an adjacent accessible shower and toilet.

Woolwich Works

Our Grade II listed building surrounds a beautiful, sunny courtyard, which makes a great edition for outdoor catering, summer parties, and big festivals.

The windows of the Workers' Bar and Fireworks Factory open back directly into the Courtyard, to give a great indoor/outdoor feel to larger events. 

From June - Sept we also have a shipping container bar and sand beach, so you and your guests can sit back sipping cocktails in our colourful deck chairs.

Woolwich Works is London's 'best new cultural spot' (Time Out), located on the beautifully restored Royal Arsenal. Conveniently located on the Thames, our Grade II and II* listed buildings have retained many historic features and are available for hire.
Our flexible spaces are perfect for conferences, weddings, Christmas parties, meetings and much more. Our riverside location is minutes away from the Woolwich Elizabeth line station and a short walk from Woolwich Arsenal National Rail and DLR stations. Woolwich Arsenal pier is just outside, and London City Airport is also only minutes away.
We can accommodate a variety of capacities and layouts across our seven spaces, with our Fireworks Factory able to hold up to 1800 guests standing. Alternatively, you could have a dinner for 100 in our Knight Gallery.


Woolwich Works - Whole Venue 

The Fireworks Factory is our largest space. Its flexible design offers complete freedom to configure your layout on the long or short axis, or even in the round. It's set to make its mark as one of London's most intimate large venues.

The Fireworks Factory has an exceptional natural room acoustic, and is equipped with a flexible system of acoustic baffles to ensure it's suitable for a range of performance genres and occupancies.

The room has been equipped with modern technical infrastructure, an abundance of power, lighting bars and facilities panels throughout, and also benefits from a dedicated control room and loading dock.

The building’s heritage is woven into the fabric of this space with its exposed brick walls, a painted concrete floor and a dramatic asymmetric glass roof, complemented by modern factory lighting suitable for orchestral rehearsal, and a bronze corrugated feature wall. To the south side, a stunning period glazed façade runs the length of the space, bordering the Arsenal's historic parade ground. To the east, spacious, modern front of house facilities connect the venue to the rest of the building, with an elegant bar adjoining our external courtyard via huge doors that offer a unique connection between our indoor and outdoor event spaces.

Whether you want to hold an outstanding live music event, host an awards ceremony with gala dinner, launch a new product, rehearse or record, this space is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression.

Fireworks Factory 

Stonecutters
Almost twenty metres long, and 8.3m wide the Stonecutters Studio is our largest rehearsal studio. It occupies the north-east corner of the site, and has windows on three aspects.

Ropekeepers
Slightly wider than its adjoining studio, at 14.8m by 8.8m. Ropekeepers Studio is a well-proportioned, dual-aspect space.


Stonecutters and Ropekeepers studio can be one large space of 35 metres long – perfect for performances and private events. The studios are separated by a modern acoustic partition. The area above the partition is glazed up to the timber roof lining, which reflects the finish of the resilient studio floor. With a high, vaulted ceiling supported by original timber roof trusses, the space feels exceptionally generous. The rest of the walls are exposed brick, puncuated by mirrors, oak ballet barres and original timber sash windows.

The space is lit by glass factory lights, with technical power and facilities panels at either end. A PA system suitable for playback and light speech use is permanently installed in the room, which also includes an upright acoustic piano.

Access is via a lift or stairs adjacent to the ground floor café-bar, where there are also gender neutral and accessible toilets. Next to the studio there is a accessible shower and toilet, along with a smaller meeting room and our beautiful river-view celebration space, Beanfeast, making it ideal for multi-room events.

The image above shows an indicative view through the Ropekeepers Studio to the Stonecutters Studio. Please note that the maximum capacity of 130 applies to the two spaces combined.

Stonecutter and Ropekeepers Studios

This ground floor space is one of our most adaptable rooms. Used for our smaller performances, it's perfect for dinners, parties and celebrations, and a great meeting space.

All four walls are finished in original exposed brick, with the short walls forming the canvas for subtle portraits of Eliza Adelaide Knight and Donald Adolphous Brown, whose stories the space celebrates. Discreet flexible track and spot lighting and an elegant timber floor complete the space. There are huge, arched sash windows down the side of the room that looks onto our courtyard, with an external door for direct access set in the middle. On the other side of the space is a door linking the room with our café-bar and Beanfeast above, and a private entrance from the riverside, perfect for events with guests arriving by boat.

The room is located close to gender neutral and accessible toilets. Similar in shape and size, Knight Gallery works well used in combination with Beanfeast for events where more than one space is desired.
