From Shoreditch through to Hoxton and Dalston and into Hackney Central, there’s a whole lot of rooftops to cover in the borough. Spending time on a rooftop – drinking, dancing, dining – would probably have baffled Edwardians and Victorians who never could have imagined their rooftops would be put to such use, but then they didn’t have global warming, sweet sound systems, outdoor heaters, and a healthy selection of cocktails, all of which are necessary ingredients for a rooftop bar.

We’d argue there probably aren’t enough rooftop bars in the borough of Hackney but there are enough for us to compile a very thorough, very important, very necessary survey that required the sampling of very many drinks.
