For smaller occasions, the Ballroom can be divided with a solid oak partition to create two seperate rooms: the Crick and the Watson, named after James Watson and Francis Crick who made the groundbreaking discovery, the structure of DNA, ‘the secret of life’ here in Cambridge in 1953. The sense of elegance without pomposity, of intimacy over corporate formality, is unusual for Cambridge.
