A well-proportioned screening room with a stage, NFT2 at the BFI Southbank is ideal for panel discussions, industry events or private screenings and is one of our most frequently hired venues. 

The large screen creates a vibrant and dynamic backdrop and can support slick presentations to enhance the impact of your event.

All audio-visual equipment is included within the hire rate of the venue as is access to an events planner and technical support team who will help  bring your event to life.

When you book NFT2, you will be given immense branding flexibility to ensure your event is impactful and impressive and that your brand is fully integrated in the space. NFT 2 Auditorium

The mid-sized NFT3 auditorium offers comfortable raked seating and is a great choice to host your next product launch, panel discussion, conference or screening.

The large presentation space in front of the screen makes it ideal for Q&A sessions with directors, speakers or panelists and works flexibly for a variety of event formats.

The large screen also creates a vibrant and dynamic backdrop and can support imaginative branding and slick presentations to enhance the impact of your event.

NFT3 offers state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment and unrivalled presentation capability, all included within the hire cost of the venue. When you hire the space, you will also be introduced to our in-house event planner and techincal support team to ensure that your event runs smoothly on the day.

NFT 3 Auditorium

A bright, contemporary multi-purpose space within the BFI Southbank, the Blue Room is a fantastic choice for your next conference, seminar,  product launch,  reception or networking event and is one of our most versatile and popular spaces.

All audio-visual equipment comes included within the standard venue hire price, making it a well-suited for any event that requires presentation capabilities. 

The space can be flexibly adjusted to suit your needs and has access to a private, permanent bar that is run by our in-house caterers, Benugo, making it well suited for both corporate events and more social team gatherings. 

When you hire the Blue Room, you will be introduced to our event planner and technical support team who will ensure that your event runs smoothly and without a glitch. You will also have immense flexibility with branding the space to make it your own. 

The room can be paired with other spaces within the BFI Southbank for full day programming, these include the Atrium - a great breakout space for delegates between sessions, or the stylish Riverfront restaurant.

Blue Room

The Riverfront and Balcony Bar is an impressive, newly refurbished two-storey waterfront location that is perfect for hosting a staff Christmas party, annual gathering or reception overlooking the river Thames. 

An al fresco terrace can be combined with the Riverfront restaurant and Balcony Bar for summer receptions, offering a truly versatile space with a fantastic never-seen-before-view of Waterloo Bridge – its structure forming the ceiling of this space. 

The Riverfront is one of the largest atmospheric venues you can find on the river, flooded with natural light and able to cater for parties of up to 590 for a standing reception. When combined with the outdoor terrace, it can accommodate up to 650 guests.

When combined with events at the BFI's largest auditorium NFT1, the space serves as an excellent venue for a welcome breakfast for your conference, or a glamourous evening networking reception for your delegates.

The room can be paired with other inspirational spaces within the BFI Southbank, all of which are located on a highly desirable riverfront location, with excellent connectivity to public transport via Waterloo Station.

BFI Southbank’s biggest auditorium with a capacity of 450, NFT1 has witnessed some of the most memorable moments in the UK's cinematic history.

The Studio is the perfect choice for private screenings, salons and intimate presentations, allowing you to create a memorable and personal event for your most valued guests. 

While it may be our smallest auditorium space - seating just 38 - the venue does not compromise on big screen appeal! The presentation capabilities and state-of-the-art audio visual presentation of the Studio is of the same superb high quality as the rest of the BFI Southbank's larger auditoriums. And your guests get to soak in the amazing cinematic heritage of our iconic venue.

You will be introduced to our in-house event planner and tech support team who will help you plan your event and ensure that everything runs smoothly on the day. We also offer a great deal of flexibility in branding your event to make the space your own.

Studio Auditorium

If you're looking to host a meeting, screening, awards ceremony or conference event for up to 450 guests, there is no better option than combining NFT1 and The Riverfront.

Situated in the easily accessible BFI Southbank, a short 2 minute walk from Waterloo Station, NFT1 is a stunning heritage-style cinema space for up to 450 guests. Equipped with 4k projection and with the free of charge support of one of our expert technicians, it is the perfect space for your screen needs.

The Riverfront is a stunning space located right on the Thames, with plenty of space for networking and dedicated staff experienced in setting up quick-turnaround catering that's on another level.  The Riverfront is located immediately outside NFT1, so guests enter into the stunning catering space, head straight into NFT1 and then come directly back out to the space. There's no chance of delegates getting lost en route and the spaces have a sophisticated decor throughout that means there's no need for huge decorating budgets in order to make the space sing.

Branding opportunities abound throughout the two spaces and there's plenty of room for the most elaborate of red carpets. The spaces have hosted everyone from Hollywood Royalty to the actual royal family, and we'd be thrilled to welcome you next!

NFT1 + The Riverfront

A perfect combination - use of NFT3 auditorium for presentation as well as The Blue Room for catering and break out needs.

The spaces compliment each other perfectly and allow for a seamless experience where guests feel looked after throughout their visit.

NFT3 has been newly refurbished and seats 108 guests in comfort and style, while taking full advantage of BFIs state of the art tech and events production support. The Blue Room is a reception space suitable for up to 180 guests, with a bar and bright, airy feel that suits morning breakfasts, a proper networking lunch or an evening reception. 

NFT3 + The Blue Room

BFI Bar & Kitchen is one of the BFI Southbank's most stylish and versatile spaces, enjoying a fantastic location by the river Thames.

Whether you want a space for your guests to quickly recharge between events or enjoy a relaxed drink, or you wish to host a private evening reception, this bright, flexible space gives you plenty to work with to stage a memorable event.

Choose from a menu of modern British bites and creative cocktails to impress your guests.

BFI Bar & Kitchen can be booked for events ranging from 80 seated to up to 200 for a drinks reception. The Drawing Room space, with an entrance hidden behind a quirky bookshelf adds a unique speakeasy vibe to your event and can also be privately hired alongside some of the BFI's auditorium venues.

Our team will work with you to ensure the space fits the requirements of your event and you can customise the set up to fit your needs. 

Guests heading to your event can avail of excellent public transport connections through the nearby Waterloo Station, making it a great venue choice in this buzzing cultural hub of London.

BFI Bar & Kitchen

A perfect blank canvas, the BFI IMAX offers reception spaces that can cater for 500 guests standing or 200 seated. It's the perfect addition to a screening, presentation or awards ceremony in the main screening space.

BFI works with a number of preferred suppliers, or clients are welcome to work with their own if they'd prefer.

Beautiful reception space that can accommodate up to 130 people standing. Perfect for pre-drinks, networking, a post event reception or a break out / relaxed area during conference events.

The BFI IMAX Cafe forms part of the full venue hire, or can be booked separately for functions looking for a creative and exciting space to host guests. 

There is no set caterer and no minimum spend in this space, so it can be incredibly flexible for smaller budgets.

BFI IMAX Cafe

If you are looking for a large and impactful theatre style plenary with the reception, exhibition and catering space all under one roof then BFI IMAX is the perfect solution. Lean into the cinema theme with pic'n'mix, popcorn and water on seats and create bespoke posters to replace ours, or wow guests with the technical excellence and venue expertise in a space that hosts some of the most exciting cinematic events in the world.

Full Venue Hire

BFI IMAX has Britain’s largest cinema screen, and you can hire the entire auditorium to give your event the biggest possible fanfare.

The 20 x 26m screen and 500-capacity luxury auditorium is perfect for major film premieres, product launches and awards ceremonies. Upstairs, the first floor foyer is a brilliant space for receptions, photoshoots, product launches and other functions.

The BFI IMAX auditorium has 500 seats in 15 rows of seats, including ones with wheelchair access, so everyone can clearly see the screen.

As well as having the biggest screen in Britain, it’s also one of the best equipped for sound and projection technology, and you can set up temporary stages in front of the screen to introduce your event.
