You can hire Engel Bar, Engel Live and Jang restaurant as one, providing a spectacular location for a drinks reception, for up to 350 guests in the heart of City. We have two bars within the spaces and an impressive canapé and bowl food menu available. Whether you’re looking to host an intimate celebration or something on a grander scale, our events team is on hand to assist in all aspects of planning, from menu creation to interior dressing and entertainment.

Engel and Jang Exclusive Hire

Engel and Jang

Our Engel Live space is available for private dining and events any time. With interiors paying homage to the golden age of art deco, the room can accommodate up to 48 for seated dining and 120 for standing cocktail parties.

Bespoke menus can be created either by our Engel Bar team or our sister restaurant Jang. Live music can also be provided on request. Overlooking the courtyard of the Royal Exchange, the space offers guests a spectacular view of the historic building.

Afternoon Tea in Mezzanine 

Indulge in our take on English afternoon tea, as you soak in the atmosphere (and the view) of a Grade I Listed London landmark. Handmade patisserie, the fluffiest scones and open sandwiches packed with flavour await, alongside Jing teas or your choice of Hattingley Valley English sparkling wine or Ruinart Champagne.
up to 50 guests in a boardroom style looking over courtyard or 60 guests in multi tables.

Nestled overlooking the courtyard and façade of the historic Royal Exchange, Engel and Jang offer guests breathtaking views and an unparalleled atmosphere. From the luxurious interiors of Engel Bar and Engel Live, designed by Karen Taylor of Pattern Haus, to the stunning terrace, our spaces combine the opulence of the art deco era with modern sophistication. Whether you’re hosting an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, we provide the perfect backdrop for your event.

We are excited to announce that our terrace will be opening on 3rd April, welcoming guests Monday to Friday from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with a delightful Champagne Brunch on Saturdays from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM, followed by our all-day menu. 
Perfect for pre-dinner drinks, canapés, or as an extension of your exclusive hire, the terrace is framed by the magnificent eight-column entrance of The Royal Exchange, offering a memorable arrival and an exceptional photographic setting.
