The Back State Room is located on the ground floor and is a wonderful space for a small dinner. The room has rich red silk lined walls and contains wonderful game paintings and some of the finest examples of Sevres Porcelain in the Collection. The room is adjacent to the Courtyard and so benefits from the fading evening daylight. This space can accommodate up to 30 guests on round tables.

The Drawing Room Suite is made up of 5 interlocking galleries on the first floor which contain beautiful artworks including paintings, sculpture, furniture and porcelain. We can accommodate up to 150 guests across the suite. Spanning the treasures of the collection, including Fragonard's 'The Swing', The Drawing Room Suite offers an unforgettable space for your next networking event.

The Wallace Collection

The Great Gallery is the grandest entertaining space at the Museum and is located on the first floor. It was purpose built by Sir Richard Wallace to house the masterpieces of the Collection and contains works by Canaletto, Murillo and Rubens, as well as the iconic Laughing Cavalier. This spectacular room can accommodate up to 250 standing guests for a drinks reception, or up to 160 guests for a seated dinner on round or long tables. The Gallery also works as a spectacular presentation space, accommodating up to 200 seated guests and a small stage.


The Great Gallery

The modern glazed Courtyard in the centre of Hertford House is approached through French doors on the ground floor. This dynamic, tree-lined space is enclosed by a soaring glass roof to make it a perfect venue throughout the year. It is extremely versatile in terms of how the space can be used – for example, we can have dancefloors, food stations, stages and other large builds. This space can accommodate up to 300 guests for a standing networking reception or private party. For a seated dinner, the Courtyard can accommodate 160 guests on round or long tables. 

The Courtyard

The Dining Room is located on the ground floor and is a wonderful space for a small dinner as it is adjacent to the Courtyard and so benefits from the fading evening daylight. Once the private dining room of Sir Richard and Lady Wallace, the room is lined with pale blue silk and contains masterpieces by Watteau as well as sculpture and furniture. This space can accommodate up to 40 guests seated on rounds.

The Dining Room

The Dutch Galleries are located on the first floor. These interconnected galleries have deep blue silk lined walls and house the Museum’s collection of Dutch Master paintings, including works by Rembrandt and his followers. For a seated dinner we can accommodate up to 50 guests across two adjoining rooms or 30 guests in one room. This space can also be used for a unique drinks reception.
