Steeped in literary heritage, the Owl & Hitchhiker takes its name from two iconic local connections: Edward Lear, author of The Owl & the Pussycat, and Douglas Adams, author of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. This quirky North London pub celebrates its creative roots while offering a versatile private hire space for any occasion.

The first-floor function room is ideal for private events of all kinds, with capacity for up to 100 standing guests. The room benefits from a semi-split layout, giving you the flexibility to create separate zones for dining, networking, or entertainment. Guests will enjoy exclusive access to a private bar, as well as comfortable banquette seating and a back room that can be adapted to suit everything from meetings and workshops to parties and live performances.

Daytime events are flooded with natural light from the traditional sash windows, while thick curtains allow you to transform the space into a more intimate evening setting. An in-built sound system is included, making music and speeches effortless. For larger events, the room also connects to the mezzanine level, which overlooks the ground floor and creates a vibrant, open atmosphere.
