Ideal for creative sessions, brainstorming, away days, team building activities, meetings and talks. Free access to the galleries is included in day time hires and our in-house caterers can supply locally sourced, freshly prepared refreshments and lunches.

**Looking for a unique private party venue in London? Book the Chapel and Reading Rooms at the Geffrye Museum for your next corporate event.**

At the heart of the museum, you will find the original almshouse chapel, a beautiful, high-ceiling space complete with wooden pews and pulpit. Almshouse residents were obliged to attend services here each week. The two Reading Rooms off the Chapel provide additional space for receptions or private dining offering very different atmospheres, one space with panoramic views of the gardens and the other, a beautifully restored panelled library with multiple fireplaces.

The spaces are ideal for pre-dinner drinks in the Chapel before dining in the Reading Room or for mid sized drinks receptions.

Geffrye Museum

The contemporary wing of the museum, an airy glass and red-brick building overlooking the gardens. Bright and open, the space is well suited to dinners and larger receptions. Events in the 20th Century wing are also offered exclusive private access to the 20th Century galleries, showcasing period rooms from 1910 right through to 1998.

20th Century Wing

**The Front Lawns at the Geffrye Museum provide the perfect location for a summer party in London.**

The expansive front lawns of the museum are one of a handful of green Spaces in close proximity to the City. 

Surrounded by the iconic almhouse buildings under the sprawling cover of the mature London Plane trees, the open green Space can accomodate 500+ for private evening events. 

An ideal location for a summer party with plenty of room for production. The Space has hosted outdoor film screenings, sports days, barbecues and garden parties.  

Front Lawns

The Georgian Room was originally the living quarters of the Almshouse Chaplain. It is now an elegant paneled room decorated in early Georgian style and hung with paintings from the museum’s collection. Ideal for a wide range of events from meetings and talks to  intimate receptions and private parties, the room can be used independently or combined with a private view of the museums galleries.
