Capella Sydney

​Capella Sydney is a five-star luxury hotel located at 24 Loftus Street in Sydney’s central business district, just moments from iconic landmarks such as the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, and Circular Quay. Housed in the heritage-listed former Department of Education building—originally designed by government architect George McRae in the early 1900s—Capella Sydney underwent a meticulous seven-year restoration before reopening in March 2023. The hotel retains its striking Edwardian Baroque architecture, including a sandstone façade and elegant marble-clad vestibules. Aperture is an all-day dining venue located within Capella Sydney, offering a unique blend of art, nature, and cuisine. this light-filled space features an indoor garden adorned with Australian flora, including two weeping fig trees and a seven-meter-high green wall showcasing nearly 70 local plant species. Suspended above is "Meadow," an iconic kinetic sculpture by Amsterdam-based art duo DRIFT, inspired by Australian wildflowers. Menu is subject to change.
