This bright and inspirational contemporary space is adorned with a mural by award-winning poet, Lemn Sissay OBE called “Superman was a Foundling”. The mural features a striking exploration of our favourite fictional characters including Harry Potter, Cinderella, Boba Fett and many more. 

With an abundance of natural light and views of the charming Brunswick Square, this bright space is perfect for meetings or team away days. Equipped with in-house AV facilities and complimentary Wi-Fi internet access, this multipurpose space can seat up to 50 guests theatre style or 28 guests boardroom style. 

We have daytime packages for lunch and breakfast events available. Your booking will include free access to explore the museum’s collection.

This space is a meticulous recreation of the original Foundling Picture Gallery built to house the charity’s growing collection and eighteenth-century portraits of key figures from the Hospital’s beginning’s including William Hogarth’s portrait of the founder Thomas Coram.

With an impressive marble fireplace, this space is perfect for larger gatherings. You can host up to 150 guests for a drinks reception ideal for networking events, book launches or up to 120 guest theatre style for  lectures or presentations

Historically, this space would often be used to hear the children of the Foundling sing. Today, it can be used as an enchanting setting for intimate recitals and performances. As an added highlight, our venue proudly houses a magnificent 1923 grand piano, ready to add a touch of grandeur to your event. 

With flexible AV equipment available including a Samsung TV Screen, wireless microphones, speakers and complimentary Wi-Fi internet access, you can also host a spectacular daytime event in the grandeur of the Picture Gallery

The Foundling Museum 

Once the gathering place for important meetings and annual dinners for the Foundling Hospital's esteemed Governors, this elaborately decorated room has a fine Rococo ceiling and works of art by leading British eighteenth-century artists and craftsmen including William Wilton’s plaster ceiling, awe-inspiring large scale painting by William Hogarth, Francis Hayman and Joseph Highmore’s and the small roundel of the Charterhouse by a young Thomas Gainsborough. 

This space is perfect for elegant receptions and dinners as well as daytime meetings or networking events. 

A private tour of the Museum can be included as part of your event, and for classical music fans, an opportunity to view the Gerald Coke Handel Collection makes for a truly unique experience.

With two elegant rooms in which to entertain Guests, the Foundling Museum is the ideal place to hire for both small and large functions. Perfect for smaller events, the Court Room boasts one of the best surviving Rococo interiors in London with a magnificent plaster ceiling and period details. 

Across the corridor the grand Picture Gallery, with its tall windows and extraordinary display of masterpieces by some of Britain’s greatest painters, is ideal for large receptions providing a stunning backdrop for your corporate event.

Equipped with in-house AV facilities and complimentary Wi-Fi internet access, this multipurpose space can seat up to 65 guests theatre style. Whether hosting workshops or creative brainstorming sessions, the Studio provides a practical and versatile setting for up to 24 guests cabaret style.
