At the other end of the room is a striking pair of hand-crafted ornamental doors made from Indian wood. Terracotta walls flanking these doors are complemented by similarly coloured pictures of Benares, the holy city after which the restaurant is named. Seating from 10-16 guests, the room’s large wooden doors can be closed for total privacy or opened to enjoy the vibe from the bar.

**Indian Fine Dining Restaurant with British Flair in the Heart of Mayfair.** 

Benares Restaurant and Bar since its opening in 2003 has been considered one of the finest Indian Restaurants in the city.

Guests enter an elegant lounge with hand-crafted India inspired furniture and is complemented by a beautiful pond decorated with fresh flowers, creating a luxurious aesthetic.

Benares has 4 private dining rooms, three of which are around the lounge: the Berkeley Room which seats up to 16 Guests, the Sommeliers Table which seats up to 10 guests and a Chefs Table overlooking the kitchen which seats up to 10 guests. The lounge area leads into the main dining room which can accommodate up to 80 Guests. 

The venue's largest private dining area, the Dover room seating up to 36 guests is on the other side of the main dining room.

Benares can be hired for exclusive events accommodating 100 guests for a sit-down dinner and 250 Guests for a standing reception.

Fee will be based on Minimum spend. The lunch sitting runs between 12.00-14.30 and dinner between 17.30-22.30. Please select accordingly.

**Book the Cellar Room at Benares Restaurant & Bar in Mayfair, London. This is one of the city’s exclusive restaurants with a private room, a stylish venue for private dining events.**

Benares Restaurant & Bar is a luxury London restaurant in one of the city's most exclusive neighbourhoods. Mayfair is a central London area and the restaurant sits in the heart of it, between Green Park and Bond Street. This enviable location makes this an impressive choice of venue when entertaining guests or clients.

The Cellar Room houses a small proportion of the 600-strong wine list. The bottles lining the walls in black wooden racks and contrasting high-backed taupe padded chairs, combine with white linen tablecloths, napkins and black and gold glass show plates to give the room a distinctly gastronomic feel.

Seating up to 10 in one long table or two tables of five, this is an ideal Space for a private dining occasion. The Space is set to one side of the main bar and has a glass panel looking out onto the main bar area.

Both the À la Carte and Tasting menus are available, with matching wine options.
