Oxford House in Bethnal Green is a flexible and affordable space available for a number of different events, from meetings to presentations and conferences, and workshops or training days. The Oxford House Theatre is a naturally creative Space that will inspire your event. The venue is conveniently located close to Bethnal Green station and the bustle of Shoreditch is not too far away. 

The Theatre at Oxford House can accommodate a range of events. It has capacity for 120 guests seated, 80 people seated at tables or 200 people standing. The space has plenty of facilities on offer, including:

- Flexible seating (including some raised platforms for seats)
- Public address system
- Optional staging, stage lighting and sound systems
- Adjacent bar area available for use as a food and drink servery
- Adjacent gallery area available as a break out space

The space measures 16m x 11m, and floor to ceiling height 3.55 metres, floor to light rigging 3.44 metres. Please note that this venue offers different rates of hire of The Theatre for charities. Please message the host for more details.

Oxford House is a community and arts centre in the heart of London’s East End. OH was originally established in 1884 by Keble College and the University of Oxford to provide a centre of religious, social and educational work among the people of East London. 

Oxford House is the place in east London where people come together to work, learn, explore, create and celebrate arts, community and heritage

Mission
We meet our vision by:

• Providing a managed building space where you can rent work space &/or hire our diverse spaces – theatre, dance studio, meeting rooms
• Providing a hub for the creative industries including performing arts
• Providing volunteering opportunities

A large ground-floor room used primarily for meetings and training events. There are full width windows at one end of the room offering lots of natural light and views over Weaver’s Fields.

The pricing is based on a dry hire and there is a cafe for food and drink. 


Scott Room 

**Oxford House in Bethnal Green is a flexible and affordable space available to hire as a large art exhibition space, creative meeting space, and workshops or training days.**

The chapel was designed by Sir Arthur William Blomfield, who was also the architect of the Royal College of Music, London (1894) and the rebuilding of the nave of Southwark Cathedral.

This historic third floor chapel is available by special request. It retains all of its history and charm, with wood-panelling in original condition. This Victorian chapel is a hidden gem amongst historical venues and It is a quiet, atmospheric space suitable for meetings, away days or private performances.

This space fee is based on a dry hire and the space has a cafe for food and drink.
