The Courtyard is transformed in the Winter (October to February) by our Winter Gallery offering a unique space for large corporate dinners, drinks parties and receptions, dances, short conferences. It is also fully heated, covered and carpeted. 
It is named the Winter Gallery, as we display paintings from local artists that are available to purchase.

The V.A.D. Room is our smallest room which is perfect for intimate entertaining. With double height ceilings, a beautiful chandelier and a sky blue ceiling this room will certainly make an impact. This room has a small balcony which overlooks the Courtyard.

It can accommodate a maximum of 16 people on one long table and has a built in 65" Screen with Video Conferencing capabilities. The room is perfect for breakfast meetings, working lunch meetings, private dinners and for filming. 

V.A.D Room

The In and Out

Our picturesque Courtyard offers a tranquil haven and escape from the hustle and bustle of Piccadilly. It provides an ideal setting for relaxed socialising or semi-private events. From October to February, the space transforms with a Winter Gallery, ideal for dinners, drinks parties, and dances.

The Courtyard can host a maximum of 100 people for a semi-private drinks reception.

The Courtyard

Steeped in history the Canning Room is named after the Canning Club who called 1 Hamilton Place, London home from 1910 to 1970 but then began sharing premises with the Naval and Military Club in 1970.
The room is infused with a Latin American influence and flair, it features hand-painted wallpaper, a fireplace, soft furnishings, and a bar. This versatile space is perfect for meetings, filming, interviews, drinks receptions and stand up buffets.

The Canning Room Bar

A very grand room for a grand and special occasion. The Coffee Room lends itself to every kind of event and includes a purpose built dance floor and elegant view across St James's Square Garden. The room is primarily utilised as the members' fine dining restaurant, catering to lunch and dinner.

It can accommodate for up 120 in theatre style, drinks receptions up to 200 guests and dinners for 100 guests. 

The Coffee Room

The house was Lady Astor's home for 30 years and the Astor Room was her bedroom. The room has been decorated to its original splendour, complete with gold leaf and the beautiful polished table it looks stunning by candlelight. It also has access to the balcony overlooking the Courtyard. It is a perfect space for meetings, private dinners and drinks receptions.

It can seat a maximum of 28 people on one long table for breakfast, lunch or dinner and drinks receptions for up to 45 people and stand up buffet for up to 35 people.

The Astor Room

Quite an imposing setting but the decor will certainly be a talking point. The space features impressive and traditional decor, with double-height ceilings and ample natural daylight, providing a quiet setting that overlooks the Courtyard.
This room is perfect for small formal lunches, dinners or can be hired for business meetings. This space is also perfect, private and sound proof space for interviews and filming. 
This space can only be used after 5pm.

The Cowdray Library 

The King Harald V is decorated in creams, soft blue and gold which, combined with double height ceilings and natural daylight, three feature chandeliers and window seats, provides an elegant backdrop whatever the occasion. It also has access to the balcony overlooking the Courtyard.
This room is most suitable for a private dinner, buffet, drinks event, conferences, meetings, filming, Wedding Ceremonies,
