The Stablehand

Built in 1839 on an old archery range, this pub quickly became a cherished neighbourhood meeting spot for residents looking to catch up with friends over a pint, and was frequented by notable locals throughout its history, from Winston Churchill to Tony Blair. To honour the historical roots of the establishment, we are excited to introduce our take on the quintessential British gastro pub. We aim to be London’s only gastro pub sourcing all of our ingredients from the British Isles, and where that is not possible, we look to source ingredients from countries and territories with close links to Britain, such as our lemons from Gibraltar. Our Head Chef champions British produce through culinary favourites such as steak, fish pie, and the classic treacle pudding. The Stablehand is the ideal location for any event, be it a get together with friends and family, or a corporate dinner. The Garden Room is a bright and airy dining room, perfect for lunchtime gatherings, and seats up to 20 guests or 30 standing.
