Dartmouth House, home of The English-Speaking Union, is an elegant mansion set in the heart of London’s Mayfair, providing the perfect setting for hosting your meetings and events.

The House can hold conferences, board meetings, training events, seminars and lectures as well as elegant private dining functions, awards dinners, summer and Christmas parties and weddings.  Accommodating intimate groups of 10, up to 350 for a standing drinks reception.

Located just minutes from Berkeley Square, Bond Street and Green Park, our West London location is perfectly situated.

Surrounded by the ornately carved ceiling and baroque wall decoration; your event will benefit from all the grandeur of our unusual venue whilst creating a comfortable and intimate space – essential for that all important private dinner.

Combine with the interconnecting The Long Drawing Room for larger events.

Small Drawing Room

The Churchill Room takes its name from the long-standing connection to Churchill College, Cambridge and Winston Churchill.  Once the ballroom of the House, the room features floor to ceiling antique Louis XIV walnut panelling; it also features a beautifully ornate fireplace that enhances the intimate feel of this room.

This room accommodates up to 70 guests for a dinner or 100 for a reception; consider using The Long Drawing Room alongside The Churchill Room or take advantage of 1st Floor exclusive use to create a versatile suite of event interconnecting spaces.

The Churchill Room is our licensed civil ceremony room for 100 and most guests take advantage of the amplified music license for evening events.
