So far, London summer has been a big tease. But this city is full of surprises. One 30C day, and you'll be able to finally bring out your best dad jorts and the dresses you've been saving for that trip to Italy that never seems to happen. When that time comes, you want to be ready.

Lucky for you, there are plenty of hot new spots opening across London this summer. We've rounded them up for you, so you can focus on other things. Did you forget to turn your fan off?

Bars & Restaurants

No. Forty Nine

St John's Wood

By the team behind Cinder, No. Forty Nine is an all-day wine bar, bistro, and café with a menu inspired by American-Meditteranean cuisine. Show up at 8AM and stay all day – start with a pastry and an espresso with your morning newspaper, and transition into small plates and wine by evening. On our list to try: cornbread madeleines, crack pie, and steak haché.

Kiez

Notting Hill

A kebab shop turned listening bar hybrid was bound to show up sometime soon in London, right? Right? Either way, you can't deny that it's a good combo. Kiez is bring Berlin-style handheld pitta kebabs, natural wine, and a lineup of DJs to the usually quiet Goldborne Rd. The interior looks like something out of a SpaceX blueprint, with tons of stainless steel and funky speakers from Friendly Pressure. There'll also be cocktails by A Bar With Shapes For a Name – East London influence will always wiggle its way into these places. So yes, Kiez radiates cool – but it's for everybody. Kiez in German is slang for "neighborhood".

Little Neon Door

Shoreditch

The latest installment in Little Door & Co's attempt to complete the entire Pantone color palette, Little Neon Door is East London's newest house party location. Shoreditch loft meets laid-back uni halls in this two-story party venue by Old Street. Like Little Door's other venues, each room is stuffed with personality – from karaoke to video games to dance floors. Unapologetically playful and fresh, this is a fun change from your usual pub crawl.

Appalachia

Shoreditch

With the UK's obsession with playing dubstep remixes of Country Roads in university clubs, its surprising that this concept hasn't been done already. Lead by Chef Ali Borer (of Smoking Goat fame), the menu will draw on the mountainous Appalachian region with bold flavours and unique cuisine, combined with Thai-influenced cooking traditions and British twists. You'll find BBQ whole quail with blue cheese slaw, cheddar and jalapéno cornbread madeleines, and duck heart tacos. Some items are better for the brave ones – but this Virginia-hailing writer has no excuse. It's a more intimate space, with 71 seats and a Southern-inspired speakeasy called Lowcountry, highlighting American whiskey-based cocktails.

Zylia

Covent Garden

Is Greek food the NY-style pizza of 2026? Perhaps. But we're not complaining. Zylia is bringing Greek Cypriot cooking to Covent Garden, using generational recipes and charcoal-led cooking. The Bedford Street location is ideal for a pre-theatre meal on the West End, and the interior is roomy without being stale. The menu is mouth watering, particularly for meat lovers – aside from your usual seared souvlaki skewers, there's a 1/2kg beef chop with Corfu sofrito sauce, a changing fish of the day and sheftalia (a traditional Cypriot recipe of caul fat-wrapped pork parcels). Go with a group and get a bunch of stuff to share. Don't miss the bread basket – you'll need something to mop up all the leftovers.

La’Yam Rooftop

Holborn

No London summer is complete without corporate drinks on a gorgeous rooftop. It helps make working through such blissful weather somewhat bearable. La’Yam Rooftop is a new rooftop bar in the heart of Holborn, and works best for informal corporate gatherings, networking drinks, and seasonal celebrations. The space has a laid-back, open-air feel that lends itself to groups looking for something more social than structured, with the flexibility for private hire for up to 240 guests. With 8th floor views, Mediterranean plates, and a view worth taking the central line for, this one is worth putting on your corporate drinks venue list.

Soraya

Marylebone

I, for one, am thrilled to see Persian food expand out of Ladbroke Grove and North Finchley. Undoubtedly following the success of Berenjak, Pachamama Group – the folks behind Zephyr and Lagana – are opening Soraya, a modern Persian eatery that they've already successfully brought to Abu Dhabi. If the menu stays the same, there'll be classics like Shirazi Salad and Beef and Lamb Koobideh, alongside twists like spiced fries and a Persian Caesar. Will it be better than what my great aunts make? Unlikely. But I will be in line to find out for sure.

Bar Blondie

Queen's Park

After the closure of the flagship Milk Beach, the trendiest street in North West London will welcome a new addition this summer. Bar Blondie is the new concept by Milk Beach's very own Elliot Milne, who's departing from his usual Aussie concept into Southern Europe. This wine bar means business – the menu will have 160 wines to choose from, diverse in both geography and process. The food will be, predictably, aperitivo-style, but will also serve fresh pasta and larger sharing plates. As a Queen's Park local, Milne intends to lean into community – the cultural programe will be influenced by the area's creatives, the likes of which include Zadie Smith and Cillian Murphy. As someone who moved out of Queen's Park in 2023, I've got major FOMO – but there's always an excuse to visit.

Hotels & Event Spaces

Hyatt Regency Olympia

West Kensington

Set within the major Olympia regeneration, Hyatt Regency London Olympia brings a polished, easy-access base for meetings and events in West London. The hotel offers three modern meeting rooms designed for smaller gatherings, workshops, and board-level sessions, accommodating up to around 70 delegates in flexible configurations.

Where it really stands out is its direct connection to the wider Olympia event campus, giving planners instant access to large-scale exhibition halls and conference infrastructure just across a glass corridor. It’s a smart hybrid setup: intimate hotel meetings backed by serious venue scale next door. Expect contemporary interiors, integrated tech, and a location built for high-volume business events without the usual London friction.

Leonardo Royal London City

Aldgate

Right in the heart of the City, Leonardo Royal London City Aldgate is a large-scale hotel that feels built for busy corporate days and big group energy. With over a dozen flexible meeting and conference suites, the hotel can host everything from intimate board meetings to full-scale conferences for up to 500 delegates, all supported by modern AV, built-in screens, and fast connectivity. There are 272 rooms available to block for out-of-town clients.

The standout is its dedicated events floor, which keeps meetings separate from the main hotel flow, making it particularly efficient for multi-room agendas, training days, or seminars. You’ll also find breakout-friendly foyers and adaptable layouts that work well for networking or catering setups.
