Situated at the top of the central staircase on the first floor, the Library is the most loved room in the Club — by members and guests alike. Inspired by the library at the Travellers’ Club, it is a room of quiet grandeur: wood-panelled walls in rich green, antique parquet flooring, crystal chandeliers, and well-stocked bookshelves that line the room from floor to ceiling. A beautiful view across Park Lane to Hyde Park completes the picture, along with access to our intimate first-floor terrace. For members, the Library offers a peaceful retreat — a place to work undisturbed, lose yourself in a good book, or simply sit and think. For private events, it is one of the most versatile and atmospheric spaces in Mayfair, equally suited to wedding ceremonies, conferences, seated dinners, and social gatherings. It is licensed for civil ceremonies and can welcome up to 60 guests, or up to 100 when combined with the Drawing Room next door. Our events team will work with you to design the ideal layout and, together with our in-house kitchen, create a menu built around fresh, seasonal produce. The Library is a versatile, bright and airy space with antique elegance, perfect for a variety of events. It is a wonderful location for wedding ceremonies, conferences, seated dining and casual social gatherings with capacity to welcome up to 60 people – or more when combined with the Drawing Room. The space is also licensed for wedding ceremonies, offering an timeless setting for intimate and elegant events.
