Guests can enjoy corporate and private events out of hours against a backdrop of its beautiful marble pillars, domed ceiling, central Art Deco bar, backdrop of Medieval Renaissance sculpture, and famed Dave Chihuly glass chandelier. This iconic V&A space is ideal for an after-party or late night event due to its capacity for a dancefloor and late licensing up to 2am, a rare feature for a London museum.

The John Madejski Garden is one of the most elegant outdoor venues in central London, a real hidden treasure! The beautiful 19th Century terracotta façade overlooks a tranquil space with a paved ellipse with fountains which are illuminated at night. The space can stand guests for Summer parties and drinks receptions - and for late night events, guests can begin their evening within the Garden oasis before moving indoors for private dining or late night parties within other stunning spaces of the museum.

The Dorothy and Michael Hintze Sculpture Galleries display some of the V&A's finest sculpture and are an elegant option for drinks receptions and smaller dinners. The length of the galleries is adorned with classical sculpture at the heart of the museum. The galleries are perfectly located for use alongside the adjoining John Madejski Garden during warmer months, or alongside private views of exciting V&A exhibitions.

Hintze Sculpture Galleries


The breathtaking Gilbert Bayes Gallery is a hidden gem at V&A South Kensington which overlooks the triple height dramatic Cast Courts. The gallery is devoted to the making and casting of sculpture: guests are provided with sweeping views from a mezzanine event space of iconic sculpture below such as Michelangelo's The Statue of David and Trajan's Column. The gallery is a stunning location for a standing drinks reception with a view or an intimate dinner on either round tables or a long banquet table.


Gilbert Bayes Gallery

The Edwin and Susan Davies Paintings Galleries are a hidden treasure. Perfect for more intimate wedding ceremonies, drinks reception or dinners, the Paintings Galleries house 200 works from the V&A's extensive paintings collection. A set of four adjoining rooms, the Paintings Galleries work beautifully for smaller ceremonies or drinks before guests move to another iconic V&A event space to dine and dance the night away until the early hours!

The Lydia and Manfred Gorvy Lecture Theatre is a beautiful Victorian theatre, restored to the highest level and furnished with state-of-the-art equipment. Its stage sits beneath an ornate cupola and its walls are adorned with figures of influential artists past. The theatre is perfect for early morning or evening seminars, presentations, lecture or screenings for guests seated lecture style.
