Our venue is perfect for quirky couples that want something more casual and fun than a traditional venue. Being an independent business, we can be really flexible on tailoring things to what suits you and your guests... whether that's having your favourite beer on the bar, or street food from a trip you've been on. Tell us your ideas and we'll try our best to accommodate! We're on the edge of Manchester City Centre, so are close to a huge range of hotels and transport links to suit any budget. The Hall is our most flexible events space suitable for all uses and all ages. Located upstairs in our venue, and with its own private bar, the Hall can seat over 130 people with multiple table layout options available.

From conferences, banquets and weddings to masterclasses, parties, exhibitions or as a filming space, The Hall is easily adaptable. 

We also recommend hiring the Hall and the Cinema together, which gives you private use of the entire first floor for a truly special occasion!

Our drinks menu is as local and as independent as you can get. For starters, we are home to one of the biggest craft beer bars in Manchester with 22 taps on our main bar alone - all pouring top notch local beer. Beyond that we’ve got a smashing range of wines, cocktails, soft drinks, hot drinks and low/no alcohol beverages.

Basement Bar

At GRUB’s Christmas parties we are proud to offer something a little different. By booking a kitsch Christmas party with us we’ll reserve you as many tables as you need in our Hall which will be a shared party space with a cracking festive atmosphere and all the kitsch touches.

Food will be provided by a weekly rotating selection of street food trucks and traders providing plenty of choice and something for everyone - no lukewarm parsnip soup or restrictive set menus to be seen! And no pre-orders to worry about either. Our traders are all very veggie / vegan friendly and are also happy to discuss other dietary requirements - just let us know.

Once everyone has had something to eat we will open up our Kitch Christmas ballroom inside our CULTPLEX cinema space where your guests can enjoy hosted karaoke on the stage with dancing and good times - trust us, they’ll love it.

We will be open for our shared parties on Thursday, Friday and Saturday for the two weeks beginning 4th December 2023. Packages from £25pp.

GRUB are known for our fantastic outdoor food, drink and events offering. From our secret garden at our main venue in Redbank, to bringing our events on the road to a location near you - we've got it covered.

The Garden:
One of Manchester’s best outdoor hidden gems,
The Garden comes complete with undercover
seating, so is the perfect setting whatever the
weather - and trust us, we know Manchester’s
weather.

Our little outdoor getaway will fit 200 people
and even has its own dedicated bar that can
be tailored to our guests based on the season
- think frozen cocktail station in summer or a
mulled wine bar in the cooler winter months.

Large covered spaces are available for
reservations while we’re open to the public,
or exclusive hire outside of our usual opening
hours.

For your summer party, we have lots of fun add-ons including group activities, lawn games, ice cream traders and more!

Summer Parties at GRUB

Our newly opened 'Dining Room' is a private, multi-purpose events space perfect for meetings, workshops and private dining space for up to 20 people.

The room, formerly our kids play area is located on the ground floor with close access to the bar and outdoor area.

The hand-crafted tables have been designed to fit 10 people around them each and can be configured in a number of ways still with additional space in the room.

There is bright overhead lighting, useful for art classes, as well as a softer lighting for dining and meetings. There is an option to add AV to this space for meetings and presentation also.

The Garden

Unique to our venue is CULTPLEX, our 108-seated independent cinema complete with state-of-the-art A/V system connected to a high-end 5.1 surround sound system, in-house lighting options and a 4K projector projecting onto a 15ft screen.

The cinema is a flexible space with its own stage and can host both seated and standing live events - perfect for comedy nights, music events, spoken word or Q+As alongside screenings.

Not only does our in house cinema technology deliver industry standard visuals and audio for film and TV screenings but we have an array of gaming equipment that enables us to host a diverse array of gaming events unlike any home gaming experience.
