Rent the perfect bachelor party venue in New York

Men like whiskey - or so I’m told. So, what could be a better spot for a bachelor party than heading to Great Jones Whiskey Distillery - Manhattan’s first (legal) whiskey distillery since the prohibition? A one-hour tour of the distillery is available, although the VIP version might better suit a bachelor party, given that it includes samples of Great Jones’ four house whiskeys for only a modest amount extra. There are also tours with whiskey samplings and a charcuterie board, and one that offers all of the above, followed by a cocktail-making class. Food and drinks are available throughout the distillery, making it a perfect mid-afternoon stop to make before a larger dinner and drinks into the evening. Or, keep the party going in one of their private events spaces, like The Lounge (max. 70), where you can pretend you have your own penthouse mancave overlooking Broadway.

Okay, hear me out. No, really, I’m saying Margaritaville, and yes, the one in Tmes Squre. I see you rolling your eyes - but what could be more fitted to a big, boozy night with the boys than the biggest, booziest tower in New York? Margaritaville truly is a bizarre place - a fever-dream of tacky bars, cheap-but-not-that-cheap cocktails and truly flamboyant decor (including an 18-foot Statue of Liberty replica), all accompanied by the never-ending soundtrack of Jimmy Buffett’s full tropical rock discography. This 375-feet tower is truly the most bizarre shrine to a billionaire I’ve ever seen - and this is the U.S.A. we’re talking about. However, with an onsite bar, a rooftop bar, hotel rooms, a pool, a view of Times Square, and multiple TV screens dedicated to Mr. Buffett’s truly hilarious music videos, this could make a great one-stop, slightly tongue-in-cheek location to get absolutely battered and dial up the cheese to max.(Though I’d recommend taking a quick reprieve and grabbing dinner elsewhere!)

Hudson Bar and Books combines the two mainstays of the classic bachelor party formula (outside of strippers and cocaine) - alcohol and cigars. New York’s first dedicated cigar bar, this West Village venue started its life in Poland before opening its New York outpost in 1990. With that just-slightly sleazy bachelor party feel, this is a perfect place to get a little decadent. This spot helps you enjoy the finer things whilst still taking itself a little too seriously for you to take it seriously, a wonderfully New York experience. Offering a large sheltered booth, it can accommodate larger bachelor-party-sized groups, or you can contact them directly to inquire about more flexible party arrangements.

Chelsea Piers is truly a leviathan. The 28-acre mutli-purpose sports and entertainment venue, located in Chelsea, naturally, is well-known for being a popular go-to for bachelor parties, featuring such activities as golf (the driving range has a view of the Hudson River), wall-climbing, bowling, volleyball, shuffleboard and laser tag, for those wishing to add some competitive fun to their bachelor party. Also featuring a huge beer hall, multiple restaurant spaces, and pretty much everything else you could imagine would fit on such a huge site, Chelsea Piers is an extremely versatile safe bet for any bachelor party, and accommodates groups of all sizes.

We all know activities are well and good, and much of the bachelor party day will be consumed with activities, but sometimes you need to flip that on its head and make consumption the activity itself. New York’s famous Financial District hosts some of the City’s best bars and restaurants, but no two other quite like Overstory and Crown Shy, two separate venues located within 70 Pine, a colossal 952-foot skyscraper. Starting in Crown Shy, enjoy Michelin-starred dining with a truly delicious menu offering a seasonal menu that blends modern American cuisine with global influences, featuring dishes like Gruyère fritters, ricotta gnocchi, and citrus-marinated chicken.

Heading upstairs (all the way upstairs - to the 64th floor), for perhaps the main attraction: Overstory. Truly jaw-dropping views by day and night, this bar is intimate enough to facilitate a buy-out for 60 standing, with enough space to facilitate a night of expertly crafted cocktails that will feel memorable. Don’t worry, there’s beer too (is any bachelor party complete without it?), but you’ve gotta try a cocktail, too.
