1. A cult indie movie theater in Brooklyn: Nitehawk Cinema
Williamsburg & Prospect Park, Brooklyn
For a retro, dine-in theater without the sticky floors, Nitehawk is the place to go. With two locations in Williamsburg and Prospect Park, theater rentals are available from Monday to Thursday from 3:30, 6:30, and 9:30PM.
The Williamsburg location is a triplex, with three theaters hosting 92, 60, and 34 seated guests. Lo-Res, the downstairs bar, is ideal for a post-film afterparty. With handcrafted cocktails, local brews, and spirits from regional distillers, you can find daily bar specials and signature film-inspired cocktails, like Fire Walk With Me and Mr. & Mrs. Tom Collins. At the Prospect Park location, you'll find Trees-Lounge on the second floor, with the same menu.
Nitehawk's key feature is it's order-to-seat setup. The menu offers shared plates like cheese boards and pretzel dogs, along with entrees like smashburgers and taco salads. They've also got food and beverage specials based on what's showing.
