THE MAIN ROOM AT DOWNTEX MILL The Main Room is Downtex Mill’s largest dedicated event space, combining the character of a former Manchester textile mill with a contemporary production and performance setting. Industrial textures and a flexible open layout provide a distinctive backdrop for ambitious events and creative shoots. Downtex Mill is home to Hidden and is within walking distance of Manchester Victoria station. THE SPACE The Main Room accommodates up to 500 standing guests. It features a Void sound system throughout the room, event lighting and air conditioning. The layout can be adapted for conferences, product launches, fashion shows, exhibitions, live performances, brand activations and private or corporate events. Seated layouts, staging, equipment use and production-specific capacities should be agreed for each brief. FILM AND PHOTOGRAPHY The space suits film and TV, commercials, music videos and fashion or branded content. Downtex Mill has hosted work for brands including BBC, Stone Island, Diesel, Carlsberg and Myprotein. Other rooms offer contrasting looks or support space for a larger production and are quoted separately. Please discuss technical requirements and required lighting or sound support before booking. HIRE RATES AND MINIMUM BOOKING Standard room hire is £150 per hour plus VAT. A minimum booking fee of £1,500 plus VAT applies, equivalent to a 10-hour day. Bookings of fewer than 10 hours can be accepted at the same minimum fee. For longer bookings, additional time is charged at the applicable hourly rate. This listing is for this room; additional spaces and exclusive whole-venue hire are quoted separately. ACCESS AND PRODUCTION A site representative is required for every booking. There is no lift, so please discuss equipment dimensions, load-in and any accessibility requirements before booking. There is parking for 6–8 cars on site, with free street parking nearby. Availability and access arrangements must be agreed for your booking. ADDITIONAL SUPPORT Film and event production support can be arranged for an additional fee, including camera, lighting and sound equipment, crew, staging, props, furniture, seating and catering.
