THE LOFT AT DOWNTEX MILL A private top-floor retreat with a relaxed New York loft feel, within Downtex Mill, Manchester’s former textile mill and home of Hidden. High ceilings, exposed steel beams and pipework, original industrial details and natural light give the room a distinctive character. Wooden floorboards and comfortable sofas offer a softer setting than the venue’s larger event rooms. Manchester Victoria station is within walking distance. THE SPACE The Loft includes a lounge area, kitchenette, pool table and dedicated toilet. The room is approximately 88 sq m (947 sq ft). Please discuss guest numbers and the intended layout before booking. It is particularly suited to artist hospitality, production green-room use, breakout sessions, filmed interviews, photography and smaller creative gatherings. Other Downtex Mill spaces can be booked separately to support a larger production or event. PLAN YOUR VISIT The Loft is on the top floor and the building has no lift. Please discuss stairs, equipment handling and accessibility before confirming your booking. Catering requirements and any furniture changes should be agreed in advance. HIRE RATES AND MINIMUM BOOKING Standard room hire is £150 per hour plus VAT. A minimum booking fee of £1,500 plus VAT applies, equivalent to a 10-hour day. Bookings of fewer than 10 hours can be accepted at the same minimum fee. For longer bookings, additional time is charged at the applicable hourly rate. This listing is for this room; additional spaces and exclusive whole-venue hire are quoted separately. ACCESS AND PRODUCTION A site representative is required for every booking. There is no lift, so please discuss equipment dimensions, load-in and any accessibility requirements before booking. There is parking for 6–8 cars on site, with free street parking nearby. Availability and access arrangements must be agreed for your booking. ADDITIONAL SUPPORT Film and event production support can be arranged for an additional fee, including camera, lighting and sound equipment, crew, staging, props, furniture, seating and catering.
