THE RED ROOM AT DOWNTEX MILL The Red Room combines high ceilings and a minimalist concrete aesthetic with a dedicated bar and built-in seating. Natural light creates a bright daytime setting, while customisable lighting allows the atmosphere to be adapted to the brief. It is part of Downtex Mill, a former Manchester textile mill and the home of Hidden, within walking distance of Manchester Victoria station. THE SPACE With a standing capacity of up to 120 guests, the room features a long custom-built bar with multiple service points and bespoke benches for guests to sit and socialise. Its position links the venue’s indoor and outdoor spaces, making it useful for a standalone brief or as part of a larger multi-room booking. Other rooms and the Courtyard are priced separately. SUITABLE USES The Red Room offers a versatile setting for photography, filmed interviews, commercials, music videos, brand activations, receptions, networking and private events. Its concrete finishes, daylight and bar provide different visual possibilities from the raw Warehouse Room and the larger Main Room. Please discuss the layout, seated numbers, bar service, technical equipment and production requirements when enquiring. HIRE RATES AND MINIMUM BOOKING Standard room hire is £150 per hour plus VAT. A minimum booking fee of £1,500 plus VAT applies, equivalent to a 10-hour day. Bookings of fewer than 10 hours can be accepted at the same minimum fee. For longer bookings, additional time is charged at the applicable hourly rate. This listing is for this room; additional spaces and exclusive whole-venue hire are quoted separately. ACCESS AND PRODUCTION A site representative is required for every booking. There is no lift, so please discuss equipment dimensions, load-in and any accessibility requirements before booking. There is parking for 6–8 cars on site, with free street parking nearby. Availability and access arrangements must be agreed for your booking. ADDITIONAL SUPPORT Film and event production support can be arranged for an additional fee, including camera, lighting and sound equipment, crew, staging, props, furniture, seating and catering.
