THE COURTYARD AT DOWNTEX MILL An open-air industrial setting within Downtex Mill, a former Manchester textile mill and the home of Hidden. Surrounded by the building’s original character, the Courtyard offers natural light and an outdoor alternative to the venue’s interior rooms, within walking distance of Manchester Victoria station. THE SPACE The Courtyard features timber decking, a DJ booth, power supply and a Danley sound system. There is space for outdoor seating, catering arrangements and additional styling, with the layout agreed to suit each brief. The venue’s current standing capacity for the Courtyard is up to 450; the final usable layout and attendance must be agreed for your event. SUITABLE USES The space lends itself to film and photography, music videos, brand activations, receptions and outdoor social events. It can also complement an indoor booking, with other rooms quoted separately. As an outdoor space, weather arrangements, sound requirements and permitted event hours should be discussed in advance. Any cover, equipment or additional services should be confirmed as part of the booking. HIRE RATES AND MINIMUM BOOKING Standard room hire is £150 per hour plus VAT. A minimum booking fee of £1,500 plus VAT applies, equivalent to a 10-hour day. Bookings of fewer than 10 hours can be accepted at the same minimum fee. For longer bookings, additional time is charged at the applicable hourly rate. This listing is for this room; additional spaces and exclusive whole-venue hire are quoted separately. ACCESS AND PRODUCTION A site representative is required for every booking. There is no lift, so please discuss equipment dimensions, load-in and any accessibility requirements before booking. There is parking for 6–8 cars on site, with free street parking nearby. Availability and access arrangements must be agreed for your booking. ADDITIONAL SUPPORT Film and event production support can be arranged for an additional fee, including camera, lighting and sound equipment, crew, staging, props, furniture, seating and catering.
