THE WAREHOUSE ROOM AT DOWNTEX MILL A first-floor space retaining much of Downtex Mill’s original industrial character. Exposed brickwork, original features, columns and graffiti-covered walls create an authentic urban setting with a raw warehouse feel. Downtex Mill is a former textile mill, home to Hidden and within walking distance of Manchester Victoria station. THE SPACE The Warehouse Room offers approximately 109 sq m (1,176 sq ft) and a standing capacity of up to 120. It includes a small bar, dedicated toilets and an office for the on-site team. Its practical facilities allow it to serve as a standalone location or as part of a larger production using other rooms, which are quoted separately. FILM, PHOTOGRAPHY AND EVENTS The room has hosted a Myprotein advert and filming for BBC Radio 1’s The Rap Game, as well as photography. Its distressed textures suit film and TV, music videos, commercials, fashion shoots, exhibitions and brand activations. It has also been used as a catering and crew area for productions elsewhere in the building. Event layouts and any seated capacity must be agreed for your brief. ACCESS The Warehouse Room is on the first floor. Please plan equipment handling and load-in with the venue team; there is no lift. HIRE RATES AND MINIMUM BOOKING Standard room hire is £150 per hour plus VAT. A minimum booking fee of £1,500 plus VAT applies, equivalent to a 10-hour day. Bookings of fewer than 10 hours can be accepted at the same minimum fee. For longer bookings, additional time is charged at the applicable hourly rate. This listing is for this room; additional spaces and exclusive whole-venue hire are quoted separately. ACCESS AND PRODUCTION A site representative is required for every booking. There is no lift, so please discuss equipment dimensions, load-in and any accessibility requirements before booking. There is parking for 6–8 cars on site, with free street parking nearby. Availability and access arrangements must be agreed for your booking. ADDITIONAL SUPPORT Film and event production support can be arranged for an additional fee, including camera, lighting and sound equipment, crew, staging, props, furniture, seating and catering.
