Hinterlands is a 10,500 sq.ft converted warehouse in the Baltic Triangle. An independent, multi-purpose event Space. Aimed primarily, but not exclusively at creative, digital, cultural and leisure businesses. A Space for conferences, festivals, exhibitions, meetings, galas, music events and everything in between.

From location to design, the Space that is flexible, functional and versatile.

Hinterlands is nestled within the new Cains Brewery Village, alongside brand new co-working spaces, artist studios, countless bars, restaurants and a food & drink market. This is a unique destination for any event. A thriving community and night-time destination.

The Event Hall is an expansive Space. The high ceilings and grand walkways of the Space are breathtaking. Responsive to the requirements of its customers, the Event Hall is a versatile Space, ready to be shaped and moulded to fit any event idea.

Enter this Space through a warm and welcoming mezzanine, allowing guests to gaze out over the expansive 3000 square foot site.

This area is perfect as a private hire Space for daytime meetings and after work drinks.

The reception foyer opens out onto Mann Street, with level access that provides a functional and quirky area to welcome Guests. From here, visitors can access the mezzanine bar directly, or make use of ramped access to the main event hall and theatre.

The Event Hall is a completely private hire Space. An oasis for your event to come to life.

Catering

Drinks
All drinks provisions can be catered for in-house. We have three bars on site stocking a range of drinks. Our bar staff are carefully chosen to represent our high standards of service. If you have a specific product you would like us to stock behind the bars then we will speak to our Front Of House and Bar Managers if you let us know in advance.

Hot drink provisions or drinks stations can be provided in-house. Or, we work with our supplier, Neighbourhood Coffee, to set up a pop-up Espresso bar - subject to availability.

Food
We do not provide any catering in-house, freeing you up to be as creative as you like. We are happy to recommend our preferred providers - Hardy’s, Northern Fields and Deli Fonseca and we can coordinate with them or we’re happy to introduce you so you can deal directly with them.

If required, our caterers will provide food tastings at Hinterlands or our sister venue Constellations. Please get in touch to find out more.

*Does Hinterlands have disabled access?

The Hinterlands site has disabled access across multiple spaces. Ramped entry to the space ensures that the Event Hall, Eclipse Theatre and Annex are accessible for wheelchair users. The Mezzanine does not offer wheelchair access.

Hinterlands is conveniently situated nearby a number of 3, 4 and 5 star hotels. The venue maintains a close working relationship with a range of accommodation providers. Please speak to one of our event managers to find out more.

*Is the venue licensed?

Yes, Hinterlands operates an on-premises license to sell alcohol. The venue's bar operates a stringent challenge 25 policy.
