1. Music meets mixology in Brooklyn: Eavesdrop
Greenpoint, Brooklyn
Another spot for the sonically inclined, Eavesdrop is an intimate bar located in Greenpoint where the state-of-the-art record table is the main feature. A self-described space meant more for listening and conversing than dancing, this neighborhood cocktail bar is a meeting point for artists, curators, and casual listeners alike.
Coming in a close second to the elevated sound system is Eavesdrop’s cocktail menu, which is as curated and well-thought-out as their record collection. Standouts from the Japanese-inspired list include Kaleidoscope No. 4 (cocoa rum, mezcal, passion fruit liqueur) and the Old but Fashionable (fruit-tea infused bourbon, demerara, orange bitters). Though Eavesdrop is already quite an intimate space, both reservations and private event bookings are welcome, and guests can check out Eavesdrop’s Soundcloud for a listening preview for their next small party. Full buyouts accommodate up to 36 guests.
