Standouts from the Japanese-inspired list include Kaleidoscope No. 4 (cocoa rum, mezcal, passion fruit liqueur) and the Old but Fashionable (fruit-tea infused bourbon, demerara, orange bitters). Though Eavesdrop is already quite an intimate space, both reservations and private event bookings are welcome, and guests can check out Eavesdrop’s Soundcloud for a listening preview for their next small party. Full buyouts accommodate up to 36 guests.

Step off the streets of Bushwick and into the dollhouse of your childhood dreams. The Love Shack: A Little Palace in Brooklyn is a design showroom, photography studio, and event space all wrapped in one surreal, eclectically curated interior.

This life-sized dollhouse has everything you need. Equipped with a domestic kitchen (sans microwave), a patio garden, and a projector, this event space is great for cocktail parties, intimate screenings, performances, and even small corporate events. Though it features standard NYC apartment amenities, The Love Shack can accommodate up to 50 standing guests (though 40 is recommended for comfort) and offers a formal dining setup fit for 32.

If the wall of mirrors doesn’t impress you, maybe the list of former tenants will. The Love Shack has hosted the likes of Halsey, Jack Antonoff, and Charli XCX.

Nestled in Williamsburg is Pokito, a vibrant, women-owned cocktail bar that seamlessly blends Latin and Asian influences. Though Pokito doesn’t offer reservations on an individual basis, they do offer bookings for semi-private (20-25) to full private buyouts for a minimum of 50 guests from Sunday to Thursday.

Unassuming from the outside, you might walk right by Ruth, a quirky cocktail and charcuterie bar in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Filled to the brim with cozy couches and the ambient sounds from their Monday jazz nights, Ruth also offers a wide selection of classic and creative cocktails, wines, beers, and mocktails for a variety of palettes. If the Satanic Nightjar (rum, aperol, and strawberry) isn’t your thing, maybe go for the Coco Lazer Beams (rum, coconut, pistachio) or the non-alcoholic Noloma (grapefruit cordial, cinnamon, and lime) instead.

Open from 10 am until the early hours of 4 am on Fridays and Saturdays, this unique Brooklyn bar is a blend of vegan cuisine, craft cocktails, and sound experiences for audiophiles and club connoisseurs alike.

Public Records is home to five different spaces for events of any scale. Interiors are minimal with wooden detailing, promising a flexible backdrop for any event, day or night. Intimate gatherings take center stage in Cafe Public, the Atrium (seating up to 80 guests), Sound Room, known for its quadraphonic sound system, or The Upstairs, which can accommodate up to 50 seated guests.

Velvet Brooklyn is the perfect place for an intimate event with its warm lighting, exposed brick interior, and cozy seating. The seating is so luxurious, they named the venue after it (well, we can only assume). You can mingle comfortably in their Main Bar or Velvet Room areas, which can accommodate 25 to 60 guests.
