Originally built in 1699, this Dutch farmhouse was part of the early rural communities in Brooklyn and was then at the center of the Battle of Brooklyn during the American Revolution. 100 years later, the building was used as the original clubhouse for the Brooklyn Dodgers before being reconstructed to preserve the traditional Dutch architecture in the early 1900s.

The house is now a museum and venue celebrating Brooklyn's rich history. The surrounding gardens and the house itself are available to rent for weddings and events. The gardens can accommodate up to 30 guests, while the house can host 30 to 150 guests.

For an event with dramatic flair, the Brooklyn Paramount is the perfect place to be the star of the show. This converted movie theater and performing arts venue has been a Brooklyn institution since the 1920s, hosting the likes of Duke Ellington and Ella Fitzgerald. Nothing screams Brooklyn more than a converted industrial event space, and one of the most unique warehouse conversions is Skylight at The Refinery. With the huge Domino Sugar logo on the side of the domed glass penthouse, you can probably guess that this imposing building was once a sugar refinery.

Now, it is the perfect place to celebrate the sweeter things in life, with jaw-dropping views and dramatic architecture. The larger-than-life venue is split between the Penthouse and Gallery 14, each with plenty of room to make the space your own (a combined 30,000 sq. ft. to be exact).

For booklovers, there's nowhere better to hold a special celebration than in a library. The Othmer Library is a working research center that transforms into an enchanting venue for bookish weddings and parties. With dark wooden bookshelves and a cozy, academic atmosphere, the venue feels straight out of the pages of a fairytale.

In addition to the library, the Center for Brooklyn History also offers the Great Hall for events. This spacious room with dramatic columns is ideal for receptions or larger meetings.

The Othmer Library can host up to 125 guests and the Great Hall can accommodate up to 180 people.

However, at Brooklyn Grange you'll find rooftop farms set against panoramic city views. With a mission of promoting urban agriculture and bringing fresh produce to Brooklyn, the farms are unique spaces to give your guests a taste of farm-fresh ingredients.

Brooklyn Grange specializes in weddings, team retreats, and private parties at both the Brooklyn Navy Yard and Sunset Park locations. Taste some of the harvest around you with their farm-to-table catering options and farm-to-glass beverage program. The Brooklyn Navy Yard location can host up to 100 people and is available from May to October. The Sunset Park venue is open year-round and can accommodate up to 150 guests.
