1. A Birmingham Christmas dinner venue to visit for a stress free holiday: Marco Pierre White
Birmingham
Christmas is the time for indulgence, so why not treat yourself at Marco Pierre White? They boast a sprawling Christmas dinner menu with everything from roast turkey (with all the trimmings of course) to woodland mushroom risotto. There really is something for all of the family — even the fussy ones.
Moreover, if you’re struggling to know what to do on the 25th of December, this Birmingham venue is hosting bookings from 12 to 5 pm. As well as tucking into a 5-course meal, you can enjoy their live entertainment. Delicious food with no stress and no washing up. Sounds good to us.
2. A Birmingham Christmas dinner venue to visit for its grandeur: Council House Birmingham
Birmingham
If you want to follow in the footsteps of royalty then consider this Birmingham venue for your Christmas dinner. A grade 2 listed building, the Banqueting Suite is certainly aesthetic.
It has all the charm and glamour of the 19th century — complete with high ceilings, chandeliers and gold furnishings. Sitting in Victoria Square, the Council House is close to Birmingham New Street. Moreover, it’s not just the inside which is pretty. Especially for the season, the building and surrounding trees are decked in stunning lights and overlook the traditional Birmingham markets.
If that’s not enough to get you into the festive spirit, we don’t know what will.
3. A Birmingham Christmas dinner venue where you can experience a taste of magic: Gaucho
Birmingham
This Argentinian Steakhouse in Colmore Row is ideal if you want a change from the traditional Christmas dinner. Although they do serve traditional turkey, the star of the show is their churrasco cuadril (rump steak).
Furthermore, Birmingham’s Gaucho has a huge range of menus to choose from. As well as the classic lunch and dinner menu, they also have a group sharing and a group feast menu — four courses and ideal for large groups. Personally, our favourite course has to be the salted caramel dulce de leche cheesecake served with toasted marshmallows. Delicious.
However, the best part about this Birmingham venue is definitely its movie screenings. From Love Actually to Harry Potter, you can relax and enjoy a VIP viewing of your favourite festive movie as well as a menu inspired by it. Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans anyone?
4. A Birmingham Christmas dinner which will transport you to a Victorian haven: Lost and Found
Birmingham
At Lost and Found, prepare to travel back in time to the grandeur of the Victorian era. Located on Bennett’s Street in the city centre, it’s easily accessible.
This Birmingham Christmas dinner offers both a three-course meal and canapés, all made with seasonal ingredients. Their canapés include a variety of options from hand-stretched garlic bread to pigs in blankets.
You can preorder drinks before arriving to minimise stress. Choose from bubbles, beer, wine, mulled wine and cocktails made by expert bartenders. You’re not short on options.
Don’t worry if you don’t have time to visit in the lead-up to Christmas — Lost and Found also offers a bottomless brunch and bubbles until New Years. It’s never the wrong time to celebrate Christmas in our books.
5. A Birmingham Christmas dinner to have for a hearty meal: The Old Contemptibles
Birmingham
Ho, ho, ho, who says Santa can’t come early and give you some great pub grub? This traditional pub sitting on the corner of Edmund Street promises to do just that.
In terms of Christmas dinner, this Birmingham venue has a wide array of options. Tuck into a British parsnip and mulled Somerset cider soup for a starter, or a slow-cooked pork belly for your main course. There are plenty of vegan and vegetarian options as well: the walnut and almond nut roast will serve you well.
For a decadent dessert, indulge in a delicious champagne sorbet. It is the festive season after all. A kids menu is available — making this a great place to visit with the family.
6. A surprise venue for Christmas dinners in Birmingham: Gusto Italian
Birmingham
You may have heard of Gusto Italian because of their delicious Italian food. However, did you know that you could feast on a Christmas dinner there?
The restaurant sits in The Grand Hotel in Birmingham. They have the option of either a festive lunch or dinner — both three courses. Christmas is the time for indulgence after all. The options include a delicious roast turkey, slow-cooked beef or Christmas pudding for dessert. Moreover, Gusto Italian offers great vegetarian alternatives, for example, their butternut squash tortellini.
Packages of drinks are available including wine, beer or bubbles. (only the best for the festive season).
7. A scenic Birmingham Christmas dinner: Pitcher and Piano
Birmingham
Are you a true Brummie if you didn’t know that Birmingham has more canals than Venice? Well, lucky for you, Pitcher and Piano overlooks one of them. You can bask in the sights of Birmingham whilst tucking into your Christmas dinner.
As well as the classics of turkey and beef, Pitcher and Piano have great options. We personally love their starters, especially the crispy salt and pepper squid and creamy whipped feta.
To finish off your meal you should definitely indulge in a cocktail of choice. Choose between a classic G&T, a ‘bakewell bliss’ or ‘on Wednesdays we wear pink’ (amongst more).
8. A Christmas Dinner overlooking Birmingham's cityscape: Orelle
Birmingham
Elevated on the 24th floor overlooking Birmingham's cityscape, you can enjoy the picturesque views this Christmas.
From festive dinners to seated private events, whether corporate or personal, big or small, you can enjoy a Christmas Dinner here at Orelle. With a thoughtfully curated festive food and drinks menu and plenty of warm and cosy private spaces to nestle into, this would be a great choice for Christmas dining.
If fillet of beef, roast miso carrot, confit garlic, shallot, bone marrow and a glass of Clarendelle Red, then this might be the right venue for you.
Just head to Birmingham New Street station and Orelle is just around the corner from there.

How to hire a Christmas dinner venue in Birmingham
We know that finding a venue the old-fashioned way (where you trawl the internet, contact 10 venues or set your heart on one, only to find that they're out of your price range and not even available on your dates) is a pain, and there are a few pitfalls between you and booking your perfect Christmas dinner venue. Getting the venue-finding process down to a professional art is what we’ve made our mission ever since we took on the events industry. We often get asked the same questions, so here's what we recommend to quickly and easily hire a space in Birmingham.
For Christmas dinner venues in Birmingham, you're spoilt for choice. Here are a few extra special ones that we vouch for:
Gaucho – For a change from your usual Christmas dinner, try the Argentian steakhouse's churrasco cuadril (that's rump steak) and salted caramel dulce de leche cheesecake for dessert.
Marco Pierre White – Stop by this much-loved restaurant for a private Christmas dinner party to remember.
There really is no one answer to this question: so many variables come into play when understanding the cost of exclusive hire of a Christmas dinner venue. How many guests are you planning for? Is the venue for the day, an afternoon, or the night? The good news is that you can find a venue for pretty much any budget (okay, almost any budget). Instead of letting the venue dictate the price, our advice is to be proactive and set a budget that you feel comfortable with – this way the right venues can reach out to you through HeadBox.
There are lots of ways to book a Birmingham Christmas dinner venue. You can do the old-fashioned thing and pick up the phone, or email the venue directly. Unfortunately, lots of venues are busy and may not get back to you in time. That's where we come in. Give us your enquiry and we'll reach out to the best Christmas dinner venues in Birmingham and let you enjoy your free time. Easy.
