Inspired by 1950s listening bars in Japan, Eavesdrop is a destination that transforms the traditional cocktail bar experience into a listening space that celebrates Brooklyn’s community of listeners, artists, and curators. The cocktail and listening bar aims to replicate the feeling of hanging out in a friend's apartment, getting a round of drinks, and losing track of time. Weekends are typically more upbeat and in-line with NYC nightlife with features from deep house, jazz, and hiphop DJs. On weekdays, expect to meet Brooklyn’s local artists and labels.

The cozy atmosphere invites you in with warm lighting, but their drinks are sure to make you stay the night. The impressive list of drinks are fresh and flavorful, including their signature negroni with lavender, chamomile, and eucalyptus. To go with your drink, indulge in small bites inspired by traditional Japanese cuisine. Eavesdrop is available for small to large party reservations as well as private events. The venue can accommodate up to 40 seated and 40 standing guests.

Sunken Harbor Club is not your typical Brooklyn bar – be prepared to enter an immersive tropical experience with fun drinks to match the energy. The all-wooden nook is designed to look like the inside of a pirate ship with antique Japanese fishing floats, mooring lines, and taxidermied fish.

Their cocktail menu has three different levels based on how strong the drink is, ensuring that there is something for everyone in the friend group. The “In The Shallows” menu is perfect for your lightweight friends, while the “The Abyss” is curated for those who enjoy something much stronger. Standouts include the Immortal Martini, including sesame oil and red pepper, as well as the Batida Dourada which features Brazilian passion fruit stars.

Sunken Harbor Club allows for private hire for your next nautical night out and can accommodate up to 150 guests.

Hidden on the 2nd floor above Nem’s Japandi Bistro, Koi Bā combines cultures and flavors to create a speakeasy vibe with cocktails and drinks to satisfy your senses. The bar is inspired by authentic Japanese ambience with red lighting and a giant, lit up Koi fish along the bar. While Koi Bā doesn’t offer private hire services, they do take reservations for up to 6 or more and encourage walk-ins.

Koi Bā’s mixologist, Ricky Dolinsky, has created a list of cocktails made from locally sourced ingredients. The Hana Akiri cocktail, inspired by Japanese cherry blossoms, mixes sparkling rose, lychee, and cucumber and transports you to spring in Kyoto. Like the drinks, the food pulls from multiple cultures and flavor profiles.

Barely Disfigured gets its name from a poem by French surrealist Paul Eluard and creates a secretive and romantic vibe that both locals and visitors love. The location, like the name, has a rather unconventional history as well; the spot used to be a “massage parlor” and we can assure you that the flirty, lowkey vibe is still intact. Upon first impression, you are met with a moody, intimate ambience with a full bar and wide selection of foods and tapas. Barely Disfigured features a long marble bar, a red-lit bedroom (yes – with a bed), and an outdoor seating area that provides a more laid-back vibe for a night out with friends.

Their signature cocktails, like the Dirty Old Man and Splendor and Misery, offers curated tastes for everyone. Their food and raw bar menu is ideal for a classic night out with a variety of options like charcuterie boards and fresh oyster experiences. The garden can fit up to 100 people and full buyouts are available.

Inspired by Marie Antoinette’s private chambers, Le Boudoir is located in front of Chez Moi where rose petals and candles will lead you to this one-of-a-kind underground cocktail bar. The regal interiors replicate the Rococo era to truly provide a unique experience.

The timeless French-themes speakeasy will sweep you away to 18th century Versailles with thoughtful cocktails, presentation, and amazing service.
