The 4 best meeting rooms in Canary Wharf

If there’s one thing Canary Wharf knows how to do, it’s business. With more skyscrapers, offices, chain coffee shops, neutral officewear and shiny shoes than you can count, E14 doesn’t play, at least in the metaphorical sense.

So it only makes sense to travel east to hire a meeting room. From hotel meeting rooms to open meeting spaces, there’s quite literally, room for everyone.

Tap into your inner exec and let’s get down to business with the best meeting rooms in Canary Wharf.

1. A historic Canary Wharf meeting room: Docklands Boardroom, Museum of London Docklands

Canary Wharf, London

You’ll find this meeting room on the first floor of the Museum of London Docklands site.

With its exposed brick walls, floor-to-ceiling window and large meeting table, it would be easy to assume that it's taken on a nouveau rustic-chic aesthetic that East London favours – but this meeting room is actually sitting on a lot of history.

First opening in the early 18th century, The Museum of London moved across the capital, before opening up The Museum of London Docklands in 2003.

In a sense, it’s almost poetic, looking back on the quarter, and planning ahead, while meeting in such a historic place.

With space for up to 16 team members, it’s a better option for mid-size meetings. Get through the bulk of your agenda with the built-in projector and screen, and if your meeting turns into an all-day affair, day and evening catering options are available.

2. A versatile meeting room in Canary Wharf: Promenade Room, East Wintergarden

Canary Wharf, London

Sometimes all you need is a versatile room. Knowing that your meeting is actually a workshop, team breakout session and presentation review all rolled into one, means you’ll likely need space to move around.

Luckily, that’s one of the first things you notice about East Wintergarden’s Promenade Room.

The 40-person capacity meeting room is as functional as they come, but you can move the tables and chairs around as you see fit, and who knows, maybe the views of Canary Wharf’s docks might spark some inspiration.

3. A creative meeting space in Canary Wharf: Space39, Level39

Canary Wharf, London

White walls. Pops of yellow. Comfy velvet sofas. Floor-to-ceiling windows for maximum light. Benches, and of course, a kitchen area. Level39’s Space39 is your quintessential meeting space.

A little more casual than your average Canary Wharf meeting room, this space works well for presentations, company all-hands, workshops or breakout sessions, and with a standing capacity for 250 guests, this meeting space could also work for end of quarter meetings.

This Canary Wharf space offers two screens, staging, microphones as well as support from an in-house AV technician. Plus, there are catering options available (because what’s a meeting without good food). All that’s left is to actually schedule it.

4. A meeting room for your next brainstorming session: Boardroom, Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel

Canary Wharf, London

Two heads are better than one, but one meeting room should suffice. Gear up for your next lightbulb moment by handling the logistics, and leaving the rest to the session.

You’ll find this meeting room on the first floor of Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel, fitted with your usual whiteboard, electronics plus drinks.

Not lacking in the function department, this meeting room is ideal to get straight down to business with your team and as it has space for up to 8 people, this is one for small meetings only.

It’s time for your next meeting of minds.

How to hire a meeting room in Canary Wharf

We know that finding a venue the old-fashioned way (where you trawl the internet, contact 10 venues or set your heart on one, only to find that they're out of your price range and not even available on your dates) is a pain, and there are a few pitfalls between you and booking your perfect meeting room. Getting the venue finding process down to a professional art is what we’ve made our mission ever since we took on the events industry. We often get asked the same questions, so here's what we recommend to quickly and easily hire a space in Canary Wharf.

Frequently asked questions

For meeting rooms in Canary Wharf, you're spoilt for choice. Here are a few extra special ones that we vouch for:

Sandbox 1, Level39 – For larger meetings and presentations, this versatile meeting room is a great choice.

Boardroom, Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel – Get through your agenda with ease at this Canary Wharf meeting room.

A Canary Wharf meeting room can start at £50 for a short rental of a small basic room, and go up to £500 or more for a day at a swish venue with facilities and catering. There really is no one answer to this question: so many variables come into play when understanding the cost of hiring a meeting room. How many guests are you planning for? Is the venue for an hour, a day or a week? The good news is that you can find a venue for pretty much any budget (okay, almost any budget). Instead of letting the venue dictate the price, our advice is to be proactive and set a budget that you feel comfortable with – this way the right venues can reach out to you through HeadBox.

There are lots of ways to book a Canary Wharf meeting room. You can do the old-fashioned thing and pick up the phone, or email the venue directly. Unfortunately, lots of venues are busy and may not get back to you in time. That's where we come in. Give us your enquiry and we'll reach out to the best meeting rooms in Canary Wharf and let you enjoy your free time. Easy.
